“Today's order was a catered training for 15 people, people attending were from Texas, Nevada, California and Illinois who were not at all familiar with F/H Subs. The menu consisted roast beef, turkey & ham sandwiches along with both garden and deluxe salads, brownies and assorted cookies. I was extremely pleased with the ENTIRE order. The attendees were blown away with presentation, freshness, quality and taste of everything. I will be back!!!“

“Higher Grounds is the coolest store ever. My husband and I stopped in twice during our Portland stay from out of town. We bought a variety of THC products and found the prices reasonable and quality to be exceptional. It’s a calm and ambiant place free from judgement. “I am the kind of person who scoffed at vanilla ice cream. I thought it was boring, plain, blah. So when I went to Zephyr Ice I had planned to ask if I could just get the shaved ice— no ice cream. I am so glad I didn’t do that. This is the best ice cream I have ever tasted, and the shaved ice of course was flawless. I can’t go often because of the distance, but whenever I do find myself near Portland, I dream of this place.“

“Absolutely exceptional experience for any foodie out there. Started off with the cherry sour cocktail which was spectacularly balanced - dry, sour, with the right amount of zing. The tuna crudo and scallop were truly stand out from the raw bar, the cabbage salad was flavorful with not too much dressing. For mains, the halibut and the smash burger were absolutely to die for. The halibut and a Marsala wine sauce and was perfectly crisped. The burger is cheese and delectable with triple fried fries, but also portioned such that it wasn’t overwhelming. This is NYC level food delivered in an incredible Portland vibe - everyone is friendly, welcoming, the restaurant itself is romantic and intimate. Would choose this dinner 1,000 times over.“

My wife likes the popular Coffee Boston, I do the Banana Split, and my kids like the freezes or floats with their favorite branded sodas. Always a great value and according to my mother-in-law the quality is the same as when she lived down the street in the 70s. Obviously there are a few more choices on the menu than there used to be.“

“Our Garden Suite was awesome! Super comfortable and well appointed, awesome soaking tub, the nicest robes, great views and quick walk to the beach. Loved how dog friendly it is. Dog bowls, dog blanket, dog towel, ball, poopie bags and a giant biscuit greeted our pup. Dogs are even allowed in the tavern. Hot chocolate and cookies in the lobby at night. Chocolates in the room. Free use of the steam room and experience shower in the spa for guests. Staff is great! That’s just to name a few things that makes the Inn by the Sea great! We can’t wait to go back!“

My friend ordered the steak and cheese, and it must have been amazing because she ate every last bite of it without hesitation! The staff deserves special recognition as well. They were excellent, kind, and especially patient with my service dog in training, who is only five months old. Their understanding and welcoming attitude made the whole experience even better. “Walked into the Portland location at 7:57 on a Saturday when they close at 8:00 and they graciously served me, even though it was clear they had finished cleaning up for the night. I am a regular at the Scarborough commissary throughout the summer and this was my first time visiting the Portland location. The staff all said hello to me with a smile and conversation and had no problem packing a few rolls for me to go! Great staff and always consistent food!“

“Best food I ate in Portland all week (including upscale places) was the lobster bisque from Chef Ryan. Oysters were GREAT as well. Family friendly. Chef Ryan’s whole menu was top notch and the kitchen staff was so nice. Ty came up and offered to give my young kids a lobster lesson over FaceTime (was here for work). Lizzy was excellent at the bar for our group. Ashley was amazing and welcoming to our group. Couldn’t recommend more. But def order the menu items and not just the lobster!“

“We wandered in today and sat at the bar. We were so impressed with both the service and the food. The bartender was cordial, friendly, and extremely attentive. We had a flatbread that was absolutely delicious and chicken, bacon ranch salad with house made ranch that was exceptional. Closer than any. We don’t have a flatbread company near our home sure wish we did.“
