“Delia made our tour at Allagash one of the highlights of our time in Portland. We visited on the afternoon of our flight home to Mpls, and it was a great way to bring our Maine trip to a close. She was warm, engaging, and exceptionally knowledgeable, with that rare ability to know her subject thoroughly without making it feel like a lecture. She kept the tour lively, welcomed questions, and shared the story and craft behind Allagash with genuine enthusiasm and a great sense of humor. You can visit a brewery for the beer, but the person leading the tour often determines how much you remember about it afterward. Delia made ours memorable. Allagash is fortunate to have her representing them.“

“I am the kind of person who scoffed at vanilla ice cream. I thought it was boring, plain, blah. So when I went to Zephyr Ice I had planned to ask if I could just get the shaved ice— no ice cream. I am so glad I didn’t do that. This is the best ice cream I have ever tasted, and the shaved ice of course was flawless. I can’t go often because of the distance, but whenever I do find myself near Portland, I dream of this place.“

“Our Garden Suite was awesome! Super comfortable and well appointed, awesome soaking tub, the nicest robes, great views and quick walk to the beach. Loved how dog friendly it is. Dog bowls, dog blanket, dog towel, ball, poopie bags and a giant biscuit greeted our pup. Dogs are even allowed in the tavern. Hot chocolate and cookies in the lobby at night. Chocolates in the room. Free use of the steam room and experience shower in the spa for guests. Staff is great! That’s just to name a few things that makes the Inn by the Sea great! We can’t wait to go back!“

It should have a scoop of warm actual cranberry sauce, not mayo. The stuffing detracted from the idea and taste of the sandwich. Incidentally, the prep and service were quick (too quick). Hey, maybe a pickle slice or two would be nice.“

I am a regular at the Scarborough commissary throughout the summer and this was my first time visiting the Portland location. “We first stumbled across this distillery 4 years ago and we were so happy to have the opportunity to travel back. This distillery is skillful with barrel aging their spirits; their cocktails and rum juices are an utter delight so there's a little something for every palate. Jen was our bartender this time and she was amazing. Give Three of Strong a try; they're a wonderful place.“
