The tuna crudo and scallop were truly stand out from the raw bar, the cabbage salad was flavorful with not too much dressing. For mains, the halibut and the smash burger were absolutely to die for. The halibut and a Marsala wine sauce and was perfectly crisped. The burger is cheese and delectable with triple fried fries, but also portioned such that it wasn’t overwhelming. This is NYC level food delivered in an incredible Portland vibe - everyone is friendly, welcoming, the restaurant itself is romantic and intimate. Would choose this dinner 1,000 times over.“

“I am the kind of person who scoffed at vanilla ice cream. I thought it was boring, plain, blah. So when I went to Zephyr Ice I had planned to ask if I could just get the shaved ice— no ice cream. I am so glad I didn’t do that. This is the best ice cream I have ever tasted, and the shaved ice of course was flawless. I can’t go often because of the distance, but whenever I do find myself near Portland, I dream of this place.“

“Walked into the Portland location at 7:57 on a Saturday when they close at 8:00 and they graciously served me, even though it was clear they had finished cleaning up for the night. I am a regular at the Scarborough commissary throughout the summer and this was my first time visiting the Portland location. The staff all said hello to me with a smile and conversation and had no problem packing a few rolls for me to go! Great staff and always consistent food!“

“Came here for the very first time on Veterans day. The staff was so helpful and kind. I told the gentleman at the counter that I had never been here before, but that I really enjoyed coconut. “A fantastic venue for drinking and dancing. It's a distillery and they craft some fabulous drinks. Rum with salsa dancing is a potent and fun mix. As a senior travel writer and retired professional dancer of 45 years, I did encounter the ageism thing as usual but I am older in comparison to the average person here and expect it. Some were freaked out they had to dance with me in a rotational group. Body language and projection say way more than words. Rather than introduce yourself and give warm welcomes/goodbyes I mostly saw employees/instructors hiding behind their cell phones with slouched postures. That's an avoidance behavior and probably not in the best interests of a growing business. Prejudging a potential customer can cost a business dearly from my experience. But again it's a fine and elegant bar and I highly recommend a visit especially before you dance!“

I also didn’t realize the have a kids changing table in the bathroom and most places in Portland aren’t kid friendly so I think I’ll come back with my kids soon because I’m already hungry for another taco and a happy upbeat welcoming atmosphere.“

I had a lot of questions, but the employee helping me did not really know answers about the specifics on the board. So I just got what seemed healthy and tasty after a quick google of some details. I had the Kenya Gatina AA – washed Batian Ruru with notes of blackberry, caramel, and orange zest. It was far from my typical, and I can appreciate that the coffee was of a good quality, but my experience would've been much more enjoyable if I could've been directed to flavors more suited to my palate. “We went here around lunch hours to get some drinks. There was no customer at the store. Alongside boba teas, they had some small snacks and bites in the menu. There were some spots to sit in at the store too.

We ordered a thai tea, milk tea and mango slush. They had the first two in shaken style meaning small bits of ice. The barista took some time to make the drinks, seemed not so proficient in making them. But the drinks turned out okay. The that tea had good flavor. Mango slush was tasty initially but got really watery at the end. Bobas were fine, not as good quality as I had in other places. Overall a decent place since its the only bobas store we saw in the area.“
