“We just had out winter get together with our campground friends Saturday night. We had about 55 people. I met with the owner to make arrangements and make sure it would all work out a few weeks beforehand. Gianna was our waitress and she was amazing!! Top notch in fact!! The food was delicious. The drinks stayed full while we waited for the food. They apologized a few times about the wait as they said the kitchen had gotten backed up but none of us noticed. Great time was had by all!“

The bartender provided excellent service throughout very stressful interaction with my friend who was way out of line and extra, all over mint and a Mojito. “We had our first Angelo’s pizza tonight. It was a Carbonara pizza and it was fabulous! It was the best pizza I have had in a long time. Delicious and cooked to perfection, NOT over cooked! “Had the Super Beef today…. It was super awesome. I’m already looking forward to my next trip there. The buns were nicely toasted, the roast beef was rare, tender, and flavorful. Everything you want in roast beef. The horseradish and barbecue sauces really tied the whole thing together. It was the perfect amount of food but I still would have had another. Also looking forward to going back and trying everything else on the menu, it all sounds fantastic. They also have a full bar, live entertainment, and trivia. “I stopped in Blazes today, had been craving a burger, and they didn’t disappoint! The cowboy burger was delicious, burger cooked just right, the onions and peppers perfectly caramelized, the sauce, bacon, and cheese, exactly the fat you want in a good burger. The bun was perfect and gave the perfect bread to burger/toppings ratio. And the side of onion rings was great, good portion, nice and crispy, not burnt and not soggy. Highly recommend!“

“How could anybody complain when we’ve just been through a pandemic - We’ve been through a shutdown, many thousands of people have died, schools closed & kids had to learn from home (and then had hybrid learning), many businesses folded & people lost their jobs, the job market changed & people worked from home - Prices went up considerably which made it much harder for some people to get by & many could not make it - I feel that it is remarkable that The River Tap & Grill has done as well as any restaurant out there - Kudos to the owners, the staff & to all the others who have made this possible -“

“My friend told me that I absolutely had to try this spot out. Not only was the view amazing the food was even better. We started off with steamers. The steamers were huge and so tasty. As great as they were the lobster flatbread stole the show. The cheese with the lobster was delicious. It was the right amount of crunch with the cheese and lobster being cooked to perfection. There was lobster in every bite. I highly recommend this spot. A great vacation spot to kick back, relax and enjoy some seafood.“

Our server Eric was awesome from start to finish. My husband ordered the pork schnitzel and absolutely loved it. I had the butternut squash linguine with prosciutto, roasted squash, arugula, and their homemade crostini bread… incredible. I even saved half so I could enjoy it again another day. Hubby tried two of their 5oz beers (Space Ghost and Santa’s Reinbeer) and enjoyed both. But the show-stealer? The apple crisp cheesecake. 🍎 Hubby took one bite and said, “This is so good it should be outlawed.” And honestly, he wasn’t wrong. It was ridiculous in the best way. “This is a very popular family friendly restaurant. My husband and I both had great salads and the best steaks we have had in a long time. The salads were super fresh, the steaks cooked perfectly and the side veggies were delicious. The Strawberry Shortcake dessert was super good. Our server was wonderful. She was personable and professional. We never had to ask for refills on beverages, she was always on top of it. We had a really enjoyable dining experience.“

“Cowbell Scarborough surpasses expectations every time I visit. The servers are friendly, attentive and polite. The food is 95% of the time correct, and if it’s not correct it is quickly resolved. Accountability is always appreciated and in this restaurant it’s certainly valued by the front of house. If you had a poor experience before, I’d recommend trying again!“

“I've been coming to Brea Lu Cafe for about 20 years. Started when they were on Forest Ave in Portland, and followed them to both of their Westbrook locations. Brea Lu has remained one of my favorite places all these years. The food is always good, and they always have creative, delicious specials that keep me coming back.

What really makes Brea Lu special, though, is the people. The family who owns Brea Lu and every member of their staff are some of the kindest, most welcoming people you'll ever meet. They make everyone feel like a regular, whether it's your first visit or your hundredth.

They also do a lot for the Westbrook community. It's clear they genuinely care about their customers and their neighbors, and that shows in everything they do.

If you're looking for a really good breakfast with a pedialyte mimosa, friendly service, and a local business that's truly invested in its community, Brea Lu Cafe is the place to go. I can't recommend them highly enough!“

“I would just like to tell a very short story about how my friend Rex who is 65 years old he is a homeless man out of the Portland area. I took him in to Denny's in Portland to get breakfast on a cold Winter's day in January 2022. We ordered our food with our server who was very rude and after eating our cold yucky breakfast my friend Rex was refused a bathroom to use and then the manager came out and told us for NO REASON, to leave and never come back! It was the worst experience because all my friend Rex needed was a hot breakfast he doesn't bother anyone and never sticks up for himself or creates a fuss! So in looking for another breakfast place to eat we found IHOP in Portland and from the start of walking into that restaurant was so nice and clean the hostess was amazing and sat us immediately with a smile our server Bethany she was amazing so nice and kind she took our order and treated us like human beings she was not judgmental and she took our order the same way she takes everyone's orders with a smile and gracious heart! My friend Rex absolutely loves his fried eggs and his bacon so we now visit the Portland IHOP twice a week. I had told the servers about what had happened to us with our experience at Denny's and the server from IHOP told Rex and myself that we were allowed at IHOP anytime and that they would love to have us!! I can't even tell you how much this warms my heart knowing that I can take my friend who has fallen on some hard times into a restaurant to eat a very nice warm meal and have the best servers in the best wait staff around us! You are amazing IHOP and we love you so much! We will be there every Tuesday and Friday for bacon and eggs comforted by the graciousness and smiles of everyone in the restaurant at IHOP! Keep on being the most amazing restaurant in the world because from my point of view you absolutely are! We love you IHOP thank you so much for your hospitality!“

“We just left there after having the fried whole belly clams. Absolutely delicious! It’s the cutest place to hang out and have some great seafood. The staff is friendly too! We had gone to another(big)place in the area the night before and we were very disappointed . Luckily we found the Salty Bay! today! I love the seating out back with the beautiful view and the Tavern on site where they serve drinks is great. Nice set up! We’ll be back!“

“My husband and I came to Applebee’s recently, and we had such a wonderful experience! From the moment we arrived, everything was great, but what really made our visit special was our server, Cadea (the blonde-haired girl). She was absolutely amazing!

Cadea was incredibly kind, friendly, patient, and attentive throughout our entire meal. She made us feel very welcomed and comfortable, and she was always so sweet whenever she came to check on us. She never made us feel rushed, even when we took our time deciding what we wanted. Her patience and positive attitude really stood out to us.

You can tell that Cadea genuinely cares about providing good service. She was very professional while still being warm and personable, which made our dinner with my husband even more enjoyable. She made sure we had everything we needed and that everything was going well throughout our visit.

The food was also really good and fresh, and we were both very happy with our meals. The whole experience—from the food to the atmosphere to the service—was excellent.

We especially want to recognize Cadea because great customer service like hers deserves to be appreciated. Having someone who is so patient, kind, and welcoming makes such a big difference when you’re dining out. We will definitely remember her and would be happy to come back again! “We had a great grandparent dinner at UNOs last night with three “greats” 86, 88, and 91 years old!!! Two grandparents and a three year old toddler completed our crowd. We began needing coffee and our server, Maci, was quick to say, “I’ll be happy to brew you a new pot…coming right up!” She was very good with our youngster, respectfully asking her if she’d like to order for herself, which she was able to do with the kid friendly menu bearing photos of each choice. Our pizzas were absolutely delicious and varied between deep dish, thin crust, and gluten free pies. Several of us had hot honey on the pizza, which…just sayin’…was extra tasty! The gluten free dough is the best I’ve ever had! Part of a successful restaurant experience is in the service. Maci took very good care of us, was attentive, personable, and speedy with our order. It was a pleasure to dine at UNOs! Thank you!“

“Applebees in Windham Maine has it all! The food always comes out perfect. The wait staff are all wonderful. Chelsey especially is awesome. Stephen the manager is very friendly. You will see him checking on customers. I eat there almost once a week. I like it because I can count on good food, good service at a good price.“

“I love this restaurant for existing here so much. It's so convenient for dietary restrictions that the fast-food restaurants completely ignore when you need to be able to drop in and go.

A tip for this particular location by Olive Garden in South Portland: depending on time of day & day of week, it can be way better to go around the mall to and come in behind through the entrance off the Clark's Pond parking lot rather than deal with the congestion in front of the mall and that right lane that kicks in at Books A Million where you're wondering if people are just fully parked and texting, as long as it can take to get moving sometimes.

Definitely worth the traffic, whichever way you go. The b.good sauce is great with the sweet potato fries.“
