“Our Garden Suite was awesome! Super comfortable and well appointed, awesome soaking tub, the nicest robes, great views and quick walk to the beach. Loved how dog friendly it is. Dog bowls, dog blanket, dog towel, ball, poopie bags and a giant biscuit greeted our pup. Dogs are even allowed in the tavern. Hot chocolate and cookies in the lobby at night. Chocolates in the room. Free use of the steam room and experience shower in the spa for guests. Staff is great! That’s just to name a few things that makes the Inn by the Sea great! We can’t wait to go back!“

“Have nothing but good things to say about this place! Quick, friendly, and tasty. Pricey but reasonable for what you get, given the quality! Go for the usual items (lobster roll, fried claims) but do not sleep on the fried scallops and any of the desserts. I've been fortunate enough to come here many times and it gets significantly better, each and every time.“

“Flavorful, upbeat and great service. Had a reservation at the bar and was happy to see how quickly and meticulously the staff worked and how kindly the Chef treated his staff.
The cobb salad left a lasting impression on me. It even inspired me to recreate it at home a few days later. The bone marrow toast was like a French onion soup on bread but better! Suckling pig and foie gras were ok. Wish I could of stayed longer and tried more dishes but had to run to another reservation. I will definitely be back.“

Oh well, our son happened to see the folks dining here through the window and popped in, they could take the three of us right now. Wife and I had to hustle from several blocks away. “Absolutely exceptional experience for any foodie out there. Started off with the cherry sour cocktail which was spectacularly balanced - dry, sour, with the right amount of zing. The tuna crudo and scallop were truly stand out from the raw bar, the cabbage salad was flavorful with not too much dressing. For mains, the halibut and the smash burger were absolutely to die for. The halibut and a Marsala wine sauce and was perfectly crisped. The burger is cheese and delectable with triple fried fries, but also portioned such that it wasn’t overwhelming. This is NYC level food delivered in an incredible Portland vibe - everyone is friendly, welcoming, the restaurant itself is romantic and intimate. Would choose this dinner 1,000 times over.“

My husband ordered the Down east Ruben, which was made with deep fried haddock with Cole slaw piled high on the bun with melted cheese. He said it was delicious! I opted for the classic BLT. Again, the sandwich was delicious. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh and ample bacon was piled on top. I watched a young man bus the tables. He was extremely thorough cleaning the tables and seating. He even washed the items on the table (salt & pepper shakers, ketchup and hot sauce bottles). This young man then set the tables for new customers. Being a bit of a clean freak, I appreciated this young man's work. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant.“

Honestly what a gem, the empanadas are top tier! I was blown away by the Puerco but both the Pollo and Dulce were incredible! You can tell how fresh and ready to order all of the food is, and made with great ingredients. Highly recommend!“
