“Had a dress suit on and she gave us the drinks and the coffee cup had a leak she even told us that, and spilt all over my dress pants. Was not happy and of course another dry cleaning. Next time serve hot drinks in a good cup better yet dont tell me your sending it to“
“We had a wonderful dinner at Isa Bistro. The food was simply delicious & reasonably priced. Portions were good. Nice selection of Wines, Cocktails and beer. The ambiance is cozy yet refined. Excellent customer service!! This will be one of our new go to restaurants.“
“I tried many ice cream shops in this town but the best scoop goes to this shop with Maine blueberry cobbler. The other flavors I tried were not as good as this single flavor so if you go, just get the cobbler, it's delicious. Across the street there is another fabulous place which has real Italian gelato which actually have decided is higher quality since all of their flavors are superb, but this blueberry cobbler one took my heart as the top contender flavor in Portland.“
“Of all the bakeries and coffee shops my husband and I tried on our trip to Portland, Tamdem was our favorite! The Americano was delicious and the salted coconut maple scone was one of the best I've ever had with the perfect crunchy texture on the outside and soft inside. I also tried the blood orange scone, which tasted a bit pithy to me. There was a line at 11:00 on a Saturday, but it moved quickly and there was plenty of seating outside.“
“Walking up to the establishment there were people waiting outside. They were very efficient and seated us surprisingly quickly. Decor has a European feel very clean with large windows in and out. You can watch them baking pastries. The drinks were wonderful and beautiful, food was delicious, fresh and inspirational with dishes with combinations that you wouldn’t expect, but worked well together and were well-balanced. It shows they have a passion for their craft.“
“This coffee shop was great! I had a coconut cream pie latte, which was delicious!I also had a bacon, egg, and liptao breakfast sandwich. The bacon was cooked perfectly, and the whole thing was tasty!Next time I'm in Portland, I will definitely be back!“
“My husband and I went out on a date night out of CT and had the opportunity to try out this gelato shop! Everyone there was very kind and friendly. It's a small shop but you can tell the gelato is fresh and made with the best ingredients! Everytime we go to Portland now we look forward to coming back here!“
“It's your local Burundi shop.I went back for the rice and extra side dishes that came along with the savory banana stew and they had taken it off the menu.Still a good dish, and he offered toasted homemade bread with olive oil. But, for 16.99 without the extra sides I personally wouldn't.“
“what a Gem, probably the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. The staff were so friendly, the highlight was being walked through the pastries and cakes made by their insanely amazing and talented baker. I cannot express how good the pastries were, we ended up bringing a bunch back to Nova Scotia. would 10/10 recommend a visit here.“
“This is a gemstone of a local business in Biddeford, ME. My mother and I went here for their second Sunday of the month silent book club. We have the people and atmosphere. Many unique readers joined the event. The staff members were friendly. My mother said her coffee was excellent and I attest that my ginger orange tea was soothing and flavorful. It was worth the drive.“
“I tried the Pistachio Latte because it sounded delicious and I'd read positive reviews about it. It did not disappoint! The Maple Pumpkin Butter Toast was equally delicious. The staff and service wasn't lacking either. On a cool, dreary day, this spot was warm and satisfying. I'll definitely return.“
“Bring your muscles. You'll need them for the door and the amount of food you'll inevitably get while here.Opened in 2019 closed for COVID and now back on the map!Easy to find parking is quick and seating is spacious. The food was incredible and service was great as expected for a small business in Maine. On my top 5 to eat places in this areaWheelchair accessibility: A little tight getting in also have someone hold the door for you. It's heavy.“
“Worth the trip! Glazed donuts were my fave(but tried a variety). Fried in healthy fat(lard) and no vegetable oil! Fantastic.Note: Not the fault of the donut shop, but the city of Portland is wild! Next time we are just gonna drive-by-pickup the donuts and head out! It breaks my heart to see the crime and the people who are passed out on the sidewalk from drugs.“
“Hands down the best latte I have had in a long time! Everything was so fresh! You can tell the coffee was recently grind. Great customer service, at least the guy that attended us, he was helpful, funny and very courteous. We weee all happy w the quality of the coffee, Can’t wait to go back! The 4 star is only because the limited menu, but everything was delicious !!“
“Was recommended this spot by a barber at (Blind Pig - which is also an amazing spot if you need a haircut). immediately rushed right over to try and make it before they closed. WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED AT ALL. omg these donuts are so so so so good. if you’re in Portland and have a sweet tooth, DEFINITELY CHECK THIS PLACE OUT! ????“
“Pretty good donuts, never had potato made donuts before so I was very interested in trying. Had the lavender honey, chocolate coconut & pomegranate one. It was very heavy and I couldn't even finish one ? staff is nice and friendly thank you girlLuv from NY ?“
“Very cozy coffee shop with many fun flavor options! I love the special bagel each week - my favorite has been salt rosemary! I love to stop in here on my way to work. Sometimes my fiance likes to work here before we go out to lunch. They have great free wifi as well.Dietary restrictions: Lots of milk alternatives.“
“Stopped in here for a couple drinks and was served by Ian. He was awesome and alone makes coming back worth it. They didn’t have a huge whiskey/whisky selection but the sister company he explained did. He even went over to grab a menu for us to look at. Atmosphere was great, bathrooms were crazy clean. Must stop by, can’t talk about the food, but getting Ian to serve you makes it worth it!“
“Breath of fresh air coffee shop and medical dispensary! Moving to Portland I didn’t dream I’d find a welcoming kind environment for my two loves. Each staff member was patient to the time to explain and made me feel seen. Some of the best flower in Portland! Along with the fact you can get a cbd iced tea or coffee. This spot is a diamond in the rough of wharf st“
“This is a wonderful place operated by knowledgeable and friendly people. They have a variety of delicious food and drink options. The grilled cheese here is taken to the next level, definitely a must try! Also, the desserts are fantastic! If you find yourself at a Sea Dogs or Celtics game and have some time before or after you should check it out!“
“First time in Portland visiting a school and on the way out of town we needed some breakfast and coffee and I'm glad we stopped here. They had so many options for both coffee and food so I asked the girl at the register and ended up getting a caramel latte which was really good. I also got an egg and cheese biscuit (couldn't wait till to take a bite before I took a photo) and 8 of they're famous Bennies. Probably the best decision I've ever made! They were so delicious :D Overall the service was quick, employees were nice and the food was even better!“
“Mainly Mozzarella Sandwich is excellent. Consistency with how much balsamic glaze and pesto is average. The Caesar salad dressing is thick and excellent. The salad lack leaves. I hate eating 80% stalk. I appreciate their environmental consciousness and commitment.“
“I PARTICULARLY LIKE THE SHOP ON INDIA STREET IN PORTLAND, MAINE FOR THE HELPFUL AND CARING STAFF THE COFFEE AND SNACKS ARE SERVED IN AN SAFE AND FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE AT AN REASONABLE PRICE .OT IS A GREAT PLACE TO CONGEGATE AND RELATE TO CARING PERSON THAT GENERALLY FREQUENT THOS SHOP.Dietary restrictions: SWEETNERS ARE OFFERED AS OPTIONS TO SUGER .Wheelchair accessibility: NOT VERY WHEEL CHAIR ACCESSIBLE DUE TO MODIFICATIONS OCCURRING AT THAT ENTRANCE .“
“ Excellent third wave coffee shop in the heart of Portland. Lighter, flavorful roasts. I tried the ? maple iced latte and was pleasantly surprised. Of note is that their roasts are wood fire roasted ?, a rarity.Small, cozy, shop with warm tones, minimalist designs, and very friendly and coffee-passionate baristas.“
“Hard not to love this place. Atmosphere is great, service is great and the people are one of a kind. If I don’t get through on the first call, they’re always there on the second. It’s my go to spot as of late. Expect nothing but good things from them <3“
“I love Buzz! So good, and used to go in multiple times a week before I moved away. My go to’s were the cold brew, dirty chai, cappuccino, or the mocha. Everyone who works there is so kind and the space is curated in a cozy way that makes you feel at home.“
“We saw the shop going up in the little green house. Previously it was an ice cream shop that created some of the best homemade ice cream in the area. I'm not a fan of Holy donuts potato donuts but was curious what had become of the space. I ordered their seasonal apple cider donuts ( the cashier said no potatoes in them) . They were delicious'. And so was the coffee! So happy surprise.“
“Cute little place! Didn't have any food but the coffee was good, alternative milk is over with the milk and cream which is nice. Only downside was that the tables were SO close to each other that sitting in the corner and trying to get up was impossible to do without someone else having to scooch their seat “
“Been hunting a good cup of coffee in Downtown Portland and I finally found it! I asked for a cappuccino and it had delicious frothy milk and the coffee didn’t taste acid/sour like most places I’ve tried. Fair price and great quality. Also, the barista/employee was super nice.“
“We had a brief one night stop on our Maine roadtrip. Asked recommendations about local beer place in our dinner spot The Highroller Lobster. Girl pointed to the Maps. We had one beer each, but the bartender knew milliliters (which is odd and great at the same time). The Commodores LP was spinning and fullfilling Tuesday's eve experience. I am from Lithuania, so I did not liked the map with soviet union, even I understand this is a piece of history, but it should be hanging in restroom or somewhere in less respectful place. Great beer and atmosphere overall.“
“Favorite Coffee place in Portland!!!! Support local, don't let this gem go without the attention it deserves! Low key not pumped for when it inevitably blows up for the tourists - but for now its mostly locals and its a DREAM! GREAT staff, GREAT food, GREAT coffee... what more could you want?!!? thankful to live just up the road so I can go often“
“The Holy Donut is a must-try to anyone who comes through Maine! We were headed to Canada but made a point to stop and use the drive-thru. We ordered a 1/2 dozen donuts including the maple bacon, carrot cake special, and the savory bacon and cheese along with cold brew. The donuts are magical, and the maple bacon is our go-to order! The coffee, while not what you come for, should always be added to an order here. The cold brew is rich and tasty and is the perfect compliment to the sweet donuts. Service was great and super quick as well. We can't wait to come back in the summer while on vacation in Maine!“
“WOW!! Amazing experience at Ohno. We came in for Breakfast, having traveled from VT. It was the closest spot to our airbnb and we are very glad we went. The staff was extremely friendly, service was quick, and the food was exceptional in taste and quality! I recommend trying the potato pancakes on the side; they were delicious. Thanks again Ohno for a wonderful meal!“
“Recommended: Absolutely, for the best breakfast sandwich experience. Overall: A standout café offering an exceptional breakfast sandwich and great coffee, though with a note on service organization. Snapshot: Food: 5/5 Drink: 5/5 Vibe: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Value: 4/5 Family-Friendly: NA Highlights: Perfect For: Indulging in a top-notch breakfast sandwich Don't Miss: The artisanal English muffin with rich, savory bacon, balanced by spread and pickled onions Bonus Tip: Arrive early to avoid sell-out disappointments and enjoy your meal with a waterfront view All The Details: Speckled Axe in Portland delivered the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had, bar none. My husband and I have been raving about it since, even attempting to recreate it for my birthday breakfast. Along with a great cup of coffee and a bakery item, this café epitomizes the perfect morning, especially when on vacation. Portland is brimming with cafés, but Speckled Axe stands out. Their breakfast sandwich strikes a perfect balance of flavors - rich, savory bacon on an exquisitely crafted artisanal English muffin, perfectly complemented by the spread and pickled onions. Each ingredient is thoughtfully selected, with no single component overshadowing the others. The only caveat is the service organization. On our first visit, we waited in line for nearly half an hour, only to find the sandwich sold out. A heads-up to those in line would have been helpful. Despite this, the staff's friendliness made up for the frustration. Determined, we returned earlier the next day and were rewarded with the breakfast sandwich of our dreams. Opting for a scenic meal across the street by the water was the perfect start to our morning. Located a bit away from the main downtown area, Speckled Axe is well worth the detour. It's a definite must-visit, and we'll surely return on our next trip to Portland.“
“TL;DR: great food and sweet yarn shop run by an even sweeter shop owner!Stopped by for lunch and some yarn shopping while on vacation with my partner. We had a delightful meal, including beers and dessert, as well as some lovely conversation with the proprietor. Lisa, the owner, is warm, welcoming, and kind. Anyone can tell that she puts her heart and soul into this shop and that feeding people is an absolute labor of love. The yarn area of the shop is small with a modest selection, but it’s very charming and well thought out. I purchased some lovely yarn to make socks for my partner and he can’t wait for me to start!“
“Well, while riding through town Biddeford looking for a quick bite, I saw the window that said Cafe!! The space is open, clean, and welcoming. You place your order, find a seat, and wait for your name to be called. Open concept, and you can see the cooks working diligently, or you can sit at a window bar and watch the traffic, and people go by outside. The food was on point!! You have to go on Saturday or Sunday for brunch and share the Mainer, a popover that was filled with a delicious maple cream and blueberries!!! It is like dessert for breakfast! The Can Melt is a good size sandwich and is filling. I p paid the popover with a blood orange Mimosa and Life Is Good!! Just stop in, well worth a try. The staff was amazing and friendly, makes it that much better!“
“Stopped in with my daughter as we’ve been exploring new tea flavors together and wanted to try some nice quality teas. I bought a bag of the chai and it’s amazing! My only regret was not buying a bigger bag but I don’t mind an excuse to have to stop back in :) There was a large assortment to choose from and the owner was so lovely.“
“This place has energy drinks on loc down, no one has these options & flavors that keep expanding. The coffee is average nothing special. But you can't beat the frojoe , the frozen coffee made with chocolate milk, is the best frozen coffee on the planet so far.“
“We ordered the whoopie pies for our wedding and they were amazing (and heart shaped!)! We had several guests who had celiac disease and several who had a gluten intolerance. B+B was perfect and I am so glad our GF guests had a cake option they could eat without worrying! It was absolutely delicious! All of our gluten free friends kept coming up to us to say how much they loved them! Thank you B+B!!“
“EDIT- The owner, Pamela addressed the situation quickly and respectfully. She immediately spoke to the team members and gave me more insight on the situation. If you have an unusual bad experience, I recommend talking to Pamela. She will make it right.I used to love this place. I would get a dark hot chocolate almost everyday at lunch time with a sandwich. Today, I came before work and ordered a dark hot chocolate and red storm sandwich. I tried a sip while they were finishing up my sandwich and I barely tasted chocolate. I’m not sure if it wasn’t mixed completely or what but I mentioned to the window lady that my hot chocolate wasn’t really chocolatey at all so she took the drink and handed it off to a different girl. This different girl starts pumping away at the chocolate giving me a dirty look, then walks to the window and hands me my drink saying “it has SIX pumps of chocolate in it” ?. A very fake smile and clearly didn’t care about customer satisfaction. I would have been fine with one extra pump but instead she clearly wanted to ruin the drink. It’s now too sweet to drink. Terrible customer service. She worked barista at 8:30am today and has thick lash extensions. Hope she finds a job she enjoys…“
“Small Coffee/Sandwich shop. You would normally walk by without knowing that it is there, but definitely worth a stop if you are nearby. We were in town visiting family and decided to stop here instead of the usual Starbucks/Dunkin and it was definitely a much more cozy and quality option.“
“The customer service at the Brunswick location is always great. Especially one particular barista, Margo. Margo always makes our drinks perfectly. She encourages me to try new drinks and suggests add ins to my favorites. Margo always makes my Starbucks experience fun and memorable. Two thumbs up for Margo.“
“STARBU…..WHO? I’ll take an Aroma Joes anytime after this. No political stickers, just good coffee served by some motivated, polite young people who were working fast and efficiently. Coffee is cheaper than THAT OTHER PLACE…skcibrats.Go to Aroma Joes. Thank me later.“
“Their coffee beats Dunks by miles! Can't speak to the atmosphere because I'm always going through the drive thru. Service has always been the best. No matter what location I go to there is a line but they always make sure they get your order correct. Local and not a national chain is appealing as well!“
“Fun place , but this pirates ☠️ ship has sailed. Good food good service and great entertainment. Also it's a good thing this ship sits in the parking lot cause it doesn't look sea worthy!Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome when accompanied by adults. It is a Pirates Patio at the edge of the ⛱️.Parking: WALNUT ST IS A SHORT STREET WITH FREE PARKING. MOST OF THE EAST AND WEST GRAND STREET PARKING IS PAY. PARKING IN OOB IN THE SUMMER HAS ITS CHALLENGES!Wheelchair accessibility: Open patio seating at tables with umbrellas.“
