“If you’re looking for a hidden gem in Old Orchard Beach, slightly away from the pier, The Gally is your spot.

It definitely has those classic dive-bar vibes, but with really good pizza, a fun atmosphere, and awesome staff. Honestly, this is probably low-key my favorite bar in Old Orchard Beach.

I almost didn’t want to write this review because I kind of like keeping it a secret. But the staff were fantastic. I believe our server’s name was Kelsey, and she was terrific she really made the whole experience even better.

And the pizza? Probably the best pizza in Old Orchard Beach.🍕

No frills. No pretension. Just good pizza, great service, a fun location, and the right kind of dive-bar atmosphere.

Definitely worth checking out.“

“Last month our flight to Portland was delayed a considerable amount of time due to weather issues and it looked as though we would not be able to make our 5p.m. reservation. My daughter called from the tarmac in Boston where we were rerouted and refueled and explained the situation. The hostess, Susie, was very understanding and compassionate And said that even though our table was booked for another party a 7, we should come in and she would see what she could do. We got there late but Susie greeted us warmly and told us not to worry about being rushed that she had arranged things so no one would be inconvenienced. The atmosphere was warm and cozy; the food so very delicious and our waitperson, Anika, was the best. Atmosphere, impeccable service, food and warmth all rate 5 stars and another visit next time we are in Portland.“

“We came to Gelato Fiasco daily on our trip to Portland. They have a wide selection of flavors and the ability mix and match as many flavors into an order. Our favorite part is the number of fixings that are packed into each serving. They certainly don’t skip on that. Whether it’s the Maine Blueberry with crumble or double caramel with cookie, each flavor is unique and delicious.“

“Rarely do I leave a review, but this place is outstanding and definitely deserves the hype! So good we returned for a second time over the course of our long weekend stay. First of all, the vibes inside this cute little café are immaculate. All the staff were warm, inviting (both times we went) and very attentive to provide a great dining experience. But let’s get to the best part, which is truly the food (the Como se dice Bon Giorno sandwich to be specific). The English muffins are made in house, and you can tell the difference! They take their delicious baked staples and curate them for the holiday/season. Is it a little pricier? Sure but nothing unexpected for dining in the Portland area, and the quality most certainly justifies the price. I highly recommend and definitely plan to return on following trips, as this is our new staple for breakfast in the Portland area!“

“Went in today for the first time and food was amazing! Ordered a latte and the girl that took my order wasn’t the friendliest. I last minute decided I wanted a latte, and asked for it to be made with oatmilk she seemed annoyed and said it comes with oatmilk with an attitude. There is no info stating that the latte comes with oatmilk so not sure how I was supposed to know that. The guy who made my drink was extremely friendly and when my food order was ready the cooks were also super friendly! Great food and latte, will be back for sure!“

“First off, we didn’t eat anything so can’t speak to the food taste. That said, it smells amazing. Pastries, breakfast Sammie’s, and toast.

The atmosphere is playful and an assortment of old furniture still comfortable that fits in the space in a welcoming way, as if inviting you to sit down, stay, and add to their already long history.

The coffee is excellent. Full barista menu and seasonal drinks. Even an espresso tonic. Full chai and tea menu as well.

The baristas are lively with smiles in their words and eager to help and make your day brighter.

There are games and puzzles and a little person table.

Everything is compostable and a drive for sustainability.

“My husband, MIL, and myself were visiting Maine all the way from NC and came here TWICE during our visit. First was brunch, then dinner. Both meals were exceptional. Our waitress(I wish I could remember her name, but she has long, red hair), gave the best service I have ever experienced in my life! On Friday afternoon, the girl working was so kind and incredibly helpful. She took the time to explain the drinks and made sure I left with exactly what I wanted. I had a lot of questions, but the employee helping me did not really know answers about the specifics on the board. So I just got what seemed healthy and tasty after a quick google of some details. I had the Kenya Gatina AA – washed Batian Ruru with notes of blackberry, caramel, and orange zest. It was far from my typical, and I can appreciate that the coffee was of a good quality, but my experience would've been much more enjoyable if I could've been directed to flavors more suited to my palate. Beautiful view and in an easy to find area!“

“We went to this location of Aroma Joe's this past Saturday morning (8/1) on our way back home to Maryland. The young lady working there was so positive and upbeat in spite of being super busy. We heard her be equally as friendly and kind to other customers as well. Whoever you are, your energy is contagious! Keep it up! Our drinks and food were awesome as well.“

The size of the restaurant is no indication of the size of their menu; as they offer a variety of different options as well as a frequently-changing seasonal menu. “It’s really a hit or a miss. I’ve been to this Starbucks over 100 times and 90 percent of the time my drinks come out very good but other times I get these disgusting drinks for example one time I asked for 2 pumps of this apple fall syrup and the drink tasted like straight syrup. Sometimes there is also a bad chai to milk ratio sometimes to much chai sometimes to much milk same goes with refreshers the same drink is a different shade each time and all the workers have a different opinion on what light ice is other then that this Starbucks is pretty great.“

“So it’s so difficult for me to right this because the staff here in scarborough are beyond fantastic and always have been and I am a loyal client who goes there every single day. What is really disappointing is I have complained about the extreme over growth of weeds around the sign, building, drive thru and coming through the patio that just looks terrible but also rubs up against your vehicle when driving thru the drive thru and when I complained before the weeds and messy landscaping was addressed but what upsetting and disappointing is that whom every is in charge of making sure this stuff is being tending sue does a terrible job and to be aesthetics and presence is everything and though I love the staff and I live in scarborough I hate driving thru this Starbucks because it truly looks trashy with the overgrowth and trash in visible site“

“Located on the ground floor of the Westin Harborview hotel, in Portland, this is the only alternative to the restaurant for a cup of coffee and a quick bit. Unfortunately, we found the hours were short, and it is not open every day. It is a small cafe, with no tables or chairs. You place your order, pay and get your coffee to go, The barista was very nice and did a good job preparing our coffees with care. There were two types of muffins and packaged coffee for sale, but that was it. No other choices for a quick bite, no sandwiches or other bakery goods.“

They are sooo sweet and friendly, they always know my go to rushes, either a blue Hawaiian or beach bum with extra pineapple. they make me smile all the time and I love seeing them bright and early before i go into work. One morning, one of them wrote "happy Saturday :)" and I didn't realize it until I drove off and the little things like that make it for me. I wish I knew her name😬 shout to her though!!
