“The double double breakfast sandwich was delicious! I hope I can make it back soon to try the rest of their menu but I highly recommend a visit to anyone in the area. The Red Door feels like a neighborhood hangout spot with extremely friendly staff and a bright and cozy atmosphere. While I was there a customer couldn’t stop complimenting the food and staff helped another lady bring a massive order to her car across the street. With indoor and outdoor seating, it is a great place to grab a bite to eat near the pier but away from the crowds.”

The lobster roll. Hands down the most tender, juicy, and flavorful lobster I’ve ever had. Fresh, perfectly seasoned, and overflowing with sweet lobster meat. If you’re a seafood lover, this is the place you’ve been looking for. I’ll definitely be back — and bringing friends next time! 🦞🔥”

“I’ll make this short and sweet (like ice cream). Fielders choice is a must try. All the ice cream is homemade. Hard and soft serve are both amazing. They are generous with their scoops and staff are all very friendly. You can get ice cream in the drive through. Don’t let the line deter you, it goes pretty fast & it’s worth it. Listen to me when I tell you, you gotta try it!”

“I am not much of a sweets person but we enjoyed the Ice Cream here. It tasted like real ice cream and the prices were average. They also had Acai bowls which was nice. They have picnic tables and corn hole outside, and booth seating inside. We have been a few times over the years and will definitely go back when we're in the area again!”

“?The owner is such a sweetie!. He takes pride in his restaurant, food and clients! My husband and I were visiting from Canada and craved to try our first Philly steak and cheese, we followed our noses to this amazing restaurant! The owner greeted us with a smile, we felt so welcome by him. He let us try some grilled chicken he had for free, was it ever amazing (I’ll order this my next trip down ? ?)We ended up ordering his Special Philly Steak & Cheese, he grilled us up the tastiest lunch we’ve ever had. Loaded with AAAA quality beef and cheese / tons of bell peppers and onions. ???The price was perfect too, we were full and happy afterwards! Really wonderful experience . ☺️I 100% recommend anyone who wants a taste of heavenly food to not give this a second thought, just go! I promise you will not be disappointed. ? I can’t wait to return and bring my friends here!

“The Whaler in Old Orchard Beach ⛱ Maine. First let me just say I really like this bar. Its got 3 fish tanks in it. Imagine a bar with fish tanks? There are two billiards 🎱 tables placed in a cool way. They have live music frequently at night. The bar has a whale theme from the pictures, carvings, and overall theme. Its really a cool sight. The bar is the closest to the Amtrak platform in OOB. It makes it my last stop after visiting. This is one of the few Bar locations that is open year round around The Pier in OOB. Its across the street from the platform. I take the train a lot and will be visiting when the tourist season slows down. Its a fun historic place to settle into.”

If you have a sweet tooth, prepare your willpower. Mine disappeared almost immediately.

The candy selection is huge, with everything from nostalgic favorites to classic favorites, plus plenty of fun gifts and novelty snacks to browse while you wait.

The real star, though, was the gelato. I went with the caramel brownie and pistachio, and both were incredibly creamy, rich, and full of flavor. The caramel brownie was loaded with chocolatey goodness, while the pistachio had a smooth, authentic nutty flavor that kept me coming back for another bite. A combination worthy of a return visit, it is.

They also offer milkshakes, bubble waffles, smoothies, churros, and other desserts if you're looking for something beyond ice cream.

Trust your feelings on this one. Your sweet tooth will thank you.”

“I come specifically to Old Orchard Beach every year just to eat at The Bell Buoy. They serve the best seafood and are very closely located to the pier and beach. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but the lobster is a huge selling point. Friendly staff, great food, good service, and a mere walking distance from many of the other attractions. I cannot recommend this place enough, and hope it remains open forever.”

“ordered the whole clam belly basket today...was no bellies. actually looked lime mixture of calamari rings and very thin strips of clams..asked waitresses if I was given clam strips buy mistake she went to ask someone became back and said the calm bellies were just small...ummm... No!! there was none! anyways .was charged for whole belly basket and that was that..will be trying other places next time .”

“My family recently got takeout while on vacation! My husband went in for pick up and observed a clean spacious dining area while being greeted by friendly staff. We had a chicken tender basket; and the steak and cheese sub. Both cooked wonderfully and we left happy and full.”

“It was a busy Wednesday night in OOB and lots of places had very long waits. We took our chances on Myst and they were able to seat our group of 7 on the deck within 5 minutes although they were busy too. The service was excellent, we had Kaitlyn (sorry if I’m spelling that wrong) who was very attentive, the food came quickly and was absolutely delicious. We have eaten at a few local spots and this was so far the best.”
