A great coffee roaster and shop. Stopped by to grab a coffee on my way out of Portland and for my drive back to NYC. They had a large selection of different roasts and I grabbed a bag that fit a flavor profile I was looking for. With the purchase came a free coffee and I tried their brewed light roast. It was delicious and hit the spot. The service was good and the space was big enough for people to gather and enjoy coffee too.
Nice, comfortable place with coffee the roast in-house, good baristas, and plenty of seating.Parking: Limited parking spaces shared with a neighboring eatery. The street isn't busy, so maybe you can park there, too.

This is a very spacious Coffee by Design. If you've been in Portland for a long time, you'll know that most of the coffee by designs have been small, cozy spots. This is more of a cozy large spacious one! Definitely not intimate in the main room but there is a separate seating area that I believe used to be for staff only which now they have opened up for customers. That's a nice spot if you prefer more quiet. Anyway, the coffee's always great as it is at every Coffee by Design....read full review
