“so MSE has perfected food.visiting from out of state, i stumbled into here to be greeted in the most welcoming way, and then enjoyed the Slawterhouse 5 turkey swiss tomato wrap with spicy Thai slaw... are you freaking kidding me. Not only was it totally delicious, but it wasn't at all messy or get all over your fingers while eating it.. tons of other tasty choices on menu.. easygoing eat-in vibes and strong beverage selection. Total and complete win.“
“Portland, Maine’s Best sandwich/wrap shop of 2023 Po' Boys & Pickles is the real deal! The authentic Creole New Orleans' flavors are on point. Counter service was fast and friendly. The Blackened fish sandwich($15) is not to be missed! The sandwich is dressed with Cajun Cole slaw, sliced tomato and red pepper mayo. This is a huge sandwich, easily shareable and absolutely delicious!! The bread is from Leidenheimer Bakery, New Orleans. Founded in 1896, Leidenheimer's is the last of the old-school Po' boy bakeries. Po' Boys & Pickles has made the commitment to using the best bread and most authentic ingredients in all of their Po' boys and sandwiches. Truly an homage to New Orleans!! You can taste the goodness in every bite. The perfect accompaniment was a basket of sweet potato fries($6).The fries were perfectly crisp, not greasy, plentiful and delicious. Great quality, inexpensive dining experience!! I love this place and you will too! Highly recommend.“
“My son had a track meet at USM. There was some time between his events so we decided to grab some lunch. I had The Dude. It was very good. I asked for modifications ( no cheese, plain mayo) and the sandwich was made the way I requested. My husband had roast beef. He seemed to enjoy it as he ate the whole thing. As we were eating one of the employees came up to us and said the made a double order of our sandwiches and gave us two more sandwiches. They could have thrown them out. We probably won't be back only because we don't live in the area. However, if we did I would definitely go back.“
“I love the India street Amatoes! The foods is as good as it’s always been. “10/10 place to eat, I go here a ton for my lunch and their food is always perfect. My family loves it too. All the negative reviews about the wait time and such is totally lies! I don’t think I have ever waited for more than 20 minutes for my food even when they are super busy. The prices are not bad because of the quality of their food, love it and always keeps me full for my day :)“

“I'm updating this as I've been to Amatos manyl times since I posted the first review. I've upped the stars to 3 from 4 because I've had several things that I hadn't had there before and they were all very enjoyable. One thing I definitely appreciate is that with very little exception, the food is consistant from one Amatos to the next. It's nice to know that when I'm on the road and it's too late to make something for supper, I can find an Amatos and get something and know that, if it's not where I usually get it, it will be just as good as where I bought it the first time. Thank you, Amatos.It's fast Italian food on the fly. It's definitely a step (or even two) over McD's, BK's, Wendys, etc. Italians plus other hot & cold sandwhiches, salads plus a nice selection of Italian dinners makes it a good choice for singles or familes or any group in-between.“
“Great spot for lunch. Good selection of sandwiches, chips, drinks, and candy. I got a HUGE large BLT with an iced tea. I grabbed a seat, which was clean and tidy, and ate in peace. Very close to New England Rehabilitation Hospital of Portland. Highly recommended for lunch. Lots of parking available and super friendly staff.“
“Authentic environment with reasonably priced food and general items. Also the best sub sandwich I’ve ever had. Recommend the loaded steak sub. Breakfast was also wonderful - got the breakfast wrap. Staff goes above and beyond in service. I forgot a small bag with souvenirs at the table and they held it for me until the next day, not even knowing if I’d be back. Great place! Glad I found it.“
“What a great place! Definitely not your ordinary sandwich shop. We had the steak and cheese, Korean BBQ sandwich and grilled Italian. They were all delicious and the bread could not have been more fresh! We also had NE clam chowder and lobster bisque- they were awesome! The guys working the counter were super friendly and helpful! Go visit- you will enjoy it!“
“Small Coffee/Sandwich shop. You would normally walk by without knowing that it is there, but definitely worth a stop if you are nearby. We were in town visiting family and decided to stop here instead of the usual Starbucks/Dunkin and it was definitely a much more cozy and quality option.“
“I'd like to give a huge shout out to the staff at Subway for so graciously handling a couple of last minute catering orders I had to place earlier this month. The other food options I had planned for a training of 20 people didn't work because of dietary restrictions, so I called Subway to get sandwiches. They put together three big platters for us on very short notice, and were very gracious about the whole thing. Great people and the sandwiches came out great.“

“I had a breakfast catered for my office due about 30 people! Breakfast sandwiches were delicious! Fresh fruit salad was amazing as were the breakfast pastries! Great service from the staff to organize this event. I would highly recommend for a catered breakfast or luncheon !“
