“Had an amazing time hanging out at the Tavern. Right away we were charmed by the bartender; Niko, shoutout, you’re the best. The bar food is delicious, better than a lot of more expensive places! We played pool, the other patrons were awesome and super chill to hang out with. We’re not even local but anytime we’re in the area we are sure to stop by Spring Point Tavern!“

“Finally made it in to try lambs and I already can’t wait to come back. Lovely wines, nibbles, views and service. Tried a few of the wines and cocktails, they were wonderful and interesting. “We have been occasional diners since Leluco opened, and it’s always been a lovely treat. This year we also decided to trust them with our Thanksgiving meal, and they did not disappoint! Our 1.5 turkeys were amazingly prepared, lovingly packed, and easy to reheat. Our friends and I are not sure if we’ve ever had a more delicious bird. “Best part: If you squeeze in between the desk and chair, you can sit on the floor right next to the (floor to ceiling) window, and it's like sitting on the edge of a cliff looking out over the Turnpike. The noise level is well-controlled, and it's quite peaceful looking at cars and trucks roll by from six stories high. Needs to be high room on the back of the West tower for this effect. Quietest a/c / air system in any hotel I've stayed in, and the controls were pretty legible. Bed was comfy and slept well. Some mystery spots on the coverlet. If you're a DIY type, take along a scraper and some paint and you can fix the peeling paint in the bathroom. Stay away from the breakfast, if you're not used to a mass-market diet, either way you'll do just as well at McDonald's. 'Fridge is useful if you want to lightly freeze things. If you want the good ol' days of a freshly-made bed every day, get on it immediately. We waited til day 3, and despite obediently ordering 24 hrs in advance, chaos still ruled when we returned at 6 pm. The same fellow running check-in eventually arrived with a few towels; we decided he was probably running the whole place on his own that night.“

And Greg, aka Wille, Zach, and now Good Sir must be Maine's best barkeeper! “If you are stopping by the end, make sure you look for David at the end of the bar. He completely elevate dmy entire day! Not only is he an absolute master of his craft- mixing up some of the best drinks ever but his energy is unmatched and pure magic.

Even with a packed house, Dave was fast, attentive, and made me feel special. He's incredibly welcoming, sharp, and knows exactly how to read the crowd.

Phenomenal drinks and world-class hospitality. Also special shout out to Ben the owner for going completely out of his way to make me feel like a true legend.

“The Whaler in Old Orchard Beach ⛱ Maine. First let me just say I really like this bar. Its got 3 fish tanks in it. Imagine a bar with fish tanks? There are two billiards 🎱 tables placed in a cool way. They have live music frequently at night. The bar has a whale theme from the pictures, carvings, and overall theme. Its really a cool sight. The bar is the closest to the Amtrak platform in OOB. It makes it my last stop after visiting. This is one of the few Bar locations that is open year round around The Pier in OOB. Its across the street from the platform. I take the train a lot and will be visiting when the tourist season slows down. Its a fun historic place to settle into.“

“A delightful neighborhood gem! Hank has worked very hard on renovating the old Spurwink Country Kitchen into a bright and modern space with a lovely deck and patio. I'd eaten here multiple times for lunch last year and now he's added breakfast. The food is all homemade and excellent. I've enjoyed the prepared foods to go as well. Try the meatballs and kale & arugula pesto on your sammie.“
