Felt very welcomed walking through the door at the hotel. Went to the cozy bar where Liz took very good care of us! Very knowledgeable about the whiskey options and made us delicious drinks!
We had afternoon high tea. It was an enjoyable experience. It is real English tea. Service was great. The food was nice and appropriate for tea. Even clotted cream for the scones. The tea sandwiches were small. The mini lobster roll had very little lobster in it and the other two were petite. We would go back again. It is a little pricey but worth it for the experience.
We did the afternoon tea for a girls day and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was quiet, the staff was extremely friendly and the food was delicious. Perfect way to spend a cold winter afternoon in Maine!

Adjacent to the bar is a larger hotel lounge area, providing additional seating options. The bar is part of a larger venue that includes a lounge with decorative bottles and afternoon tea service, which features a lobster roll and good service, despite some minor delays with treats like clotted cream and jam. Valet parking and street parking are available nearby in Portland’s Old Port.
