Moved here from NYC about 5-6 years ago and have not found our go to Chinese take out place. TastyBox has a more eclectic menu that's a bit more diverse than your standard Chinese take out menu but that's not a bad thing. I was surprised to see Taiwanese popcorn chicken on the menu and it was solid!

Also tried the orange chicken, vegetable chow mein, and chicken with stringbeans. They fry the chicken really well and unlike some other options in the area, it's not more batter than chicken. The batter is light and crispy and you get a really solid portion of protein for the price. The chow mein ate a little bland when it comes to a stirfried egg noodle option but not bad. Chicken with string beans was cooked really well and the string beans weren't mush.

I also see that they do a ton of specials like Taiwanese yolk buns that they make by hand. I have high hopes for this place and hope the local community can appreciate their unique offerings! It's definitely more than just the standard take out spot! A really welcomed spot to the southern Maine food scene!

This is an absolute favorite for our family. The food and service are incredible! The icy dessert is our kids’ favorite and such a novelty: have never seen it anywhere else!

Delicious food and always so fresh. Not the heavy fried feel after. The Daikon cakes are so good, I hope you keep them on the menu! Awesome job.

I love their fried rice and one tofu dish. Really wish they had more offerings for vegetarians. The two ladies do a fantastic job and the place is always so clean! Definitely recommend if you're looking for some tasty comfort food
