Lobster roll portion super small for 40 bucks: at legal sea foods in Boston you can get 3x the size for less money. Tuna poke bowl was triple salted and inedible, however the staff were very kind.

Layered up to eat outside dining. Everything was wonderful. Fresh air, unobstructed views and excellent experience with all.
Briann got us started with beverages. Kabir reserved our food order and off we went to the great outdoor dining area.
The Globe Dining is next, as we will return.

As a guest at the Cliff House, Nubbs was a convenient choice for lunch by the pool! We shared the chicken tenders, which had a nice crunch from the cornflake breading. We also enjoyed the fries which had some old bay seasoning sprinkled on top. The smell of their cooking takes over the lower level of the resort and always had us hungry!

Nearly $40 for one of the worst lobster rolls I’ve had (and I’ve had dozens from all of the classic spots across all of New England). Very light on the meat, heavy on mayo and other filler. I wouldn’t go out of my way for this roll even if I were staying on the property (and I was). It is ludicrous to me that this is on any ‘best of’ lists. You are much better off going to Perkins cove or anywhere else.
Maybe it’s because they were near closing? Just say you don’t have enough lobster meat to make a lobster roll, because that’s what it seemed like.

Had never heard of Nubb's before, but it came highly recommended from a friend so I had to try it; it didn't disappoint.
I ordered a lobster roll (the CT way: hot with butter) and it was delicious. The fries that it came with were arguably even better, but the star was still the roll and I'll be back to try one the Maine way.
(Additionally, the view of the ocean is incredible. )
Parking: Parking lot on-site had plenty of space

Worst seafood I've had in a long time. Burgers and wings were good. Should probably rename the place to Nubb's Burger Shack.

Worst lobster roll! The lobster meat was chopped up into small pieces like a salad, tossed with a milky-white liquid dressing, and the lobster meat was so icy cold that there were tiny ice crystals in my mouth with each bite!!! Because the lobster had been at least partially frozen the flavor was bland and the roll fell apart soggy with white liquid. It was so disappointing, such poor execution for a $36 roll. It was supposed to be a Maine style (light mayo dressing, cold) lobster roll ?. Try Roberts in Kittery and Portland Lobster for good lobster rollsAlso, the place is self serve: you order at one window, get handed a buzzer when the food is ready to go pick up. Our table was dirty with smeared fat residue. Overall, a disappointing Cliff House food experience

We went to Nubb’s for the igloo/Snowglobe experience. We rented the Snowglobe for 2 hours and ordered food, the total cost of the experience was over $400. Though food items on the menu were marked as gluten free, and assured by kitchen staff they were gluten free, that was not the case.Though items in the menu at Nubb’s are marked gluten free, and the kitchen assured us they were gluten free, they are not. There is a very high likelihood there was cross contamination in the preparing of the food members of my party ate, or there was gluten in the food marked gluten free, thus resulting in someone with celiac disease (severe gluten allergy) to be “glutened” and become very ill after eating at Nubb’s.The member of my party with celiac disease informed our server that he has celiac disease/a gluten allergy as soon as menus were provided and asked for assurance twice that the items marked as gluten free were in fact gluten free. Both times our waitress went in to the kitchen to confirm this. He selected clam chowder and fish and chips, both marked as gluten free on the menu. He also asked for assurance that the GF items were not fried in the same fryer as items that contain gluten (ie chicken tenders, etc. that have a gluten breading). Our server checked with kitchen staff twice to ensure this; we were told there would be no cross contamination. However, after eating the “gluten free” food items at Nubb’s the member of my party with celiac disease got very ill. When they inadvertently consume gluten, they vomit for 24+ hours. We had a late, hearty lunch so we did not eat anything else after eating at Nubb’s.I contacted The Cliff House about this incident and have not received a response from restaurant staff. This happened on March 23, 2024, I am leaving this public review on April 7, 2024 due to no outreach/response from The Cliff House.Allergen awareness is really important for all food allergies. Folks may not go into anaphylaxis from consuming gluten, but they can have other significant allergic reactions. We enjoyed our igloo experience, but it was very disappointing the member of my party was “glutened” given the total cost of the event, igloo rental and lunch, was over $400 and that he was diligent in advocating for himself to ensure the items he selected were gluten free. I was hopeful we would rent an igloo in the nicer weather, but he will likely not come because of this cross contamination incident. If you or a member of your party have an allergy, especially a gluten allergy, I would NOT recommend going to Nubb’s Restaurant at the Cliff House. They are NOT allergen friendly.
Dietary restrictions: Not gluten free, though marked gluten free options on the menu
The lobster roll was a triumph of flavors, with succulent chunks of lobster nestled in a perfectly toasted, buttery roll. The combination of sweet and savory elements danced on my taste buds, leaving me longing for more. The shrimp roll was equally delightful, boasting plump, well-seasoned shrimp that provided a delightful contrast in texture. However, the crab roll, while enjoyable, didn’t quite reach the heights of its counterparts, with a flavor that fell slightly short of expectations.but overpriced.

This place became our main hangout while we were at the Cliff House. The food was absolutely fantastic, the views were great, the atmosphere was super casual and fun. It's right off the back of the hot tub so people will hang out in here with their patented Cliff House robes while having a cocktail. The bartenders all weekend were also unreal.
