This place is hands down one of the best spots I’ve been to in Maine. The food is incredible—authentic, flavorful, and made with so much care. The jerk chicken is my favorite, perfectly spiced and cooked just right, but honestly, everything on the menu is fantastic. The oxtail is so tender it falls off the bone, and the curry seafood is rich and full of flavor.

The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff always make you feel right at home. I also love browsing the gift shop and buying Caribbean groceries, it’s such a cool touch to have a place where you can pick up unique Jamaican items while grabbing amazing food.

If you’re craving real Jamaican food or just want to try something different, this is the place to go. Definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to!

You just gotta try .... I've had TRUE JAMAICAN FOOD. in Mass... Where I'm from. And I tell you what. This was GREATEST than I've ever had experienced. And I can't get over it still.... Man it was amazing!!! And unforgettable. Your gonna want more. GUARANTEED.

This place has so many delicious choices, it was hard to pick what to try first. The ribs and pork were excellent, and the hot hot sauce was my favorite!

Absolutely DELICIOUS food. Me and my boyfriend go about once a week for their oxtail and jerk chicken. The workers are very friendly and polite too. Amazing food and worth the price!!

There are places that are great. There are places that are worth traveling out of your way for. J&J is both. While undoubtedly one of the best places for Jamaican food in New England. Certainly Maine. It also happens to be easily one of the best bbq meats in the state; Smoked ribs & pork, braised curried goat, jerk chicken - all incredible. Worth traveling for. Certainly worth stopping if you are passing by on Rt 1.

We go to Jamaica every year, we could not go back this fall, we are going in May! So we had to have our favorite food! The food is awesome, the people are friendly, the place is clean, the beef patties were the best! They had red strip beers! What more could you want! We will be back!

Excellent food excellent vibes

Absolutely delicious food. The chicken and the pork were so tender and practically melted in our mouths! A fabulous addition to the culinary options in mid coast Maine.
