“I accidentally left my purse behind at the Bred in the Bone brunch restaurant. Accommodating doesn’t even begin to describe the kindness they showed me. They secured my belongings safely and hand delivered them to me all the way from Damariscotta to Freeport ME. They were quick to communicate and empathize with me on such a stressful day. I thought for sure my purse would have been stolen but they were on top of their game and the staff saved me so much financial heart ache with their efforts. Bonus points to owner Beth & Employee Roz who saved the day!Not to mention, I had a fabulous cappuccino @ Bred in the Bone.”

“We sampled appetizers, entrees, non-alcoholic cocktails and desserts. All of the dishes were creative but not wacky. Extremely fresh and flavourful. And balanced! The mocktails were convincing and delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and a little rustic but classy as well. A hard balance to strike. Our waitress was charming and genuine. I will definitely be back. It's worth a drive.”

The flavor was out of this world. The coleslaw The fresh roast beef and the sauce they put on it. We would come back just for that. Must try this place out .”

“Actually the best sandwich I’ve ever had. Can’t go wrong with a paesano panin.A little bit pricey, so keep that in mind. That being said, if you have a couple bucks to spend, it’s 100% worth it.”

“Second time in but first time in a while. Everything was just as good as the first time. Oysters were perfect especially at 1/2 price. Burratta was tasty and beautiful. LOVED the maple duck wings that we tried at the recommendation of our server. Our server was so sweet and helpful. Made friends at the table next to us. King Eider’s is the kind of place you go back to often!”

“The service was amazing. The people were so nice. Dining out with a toddler can be challenging and the staff were well prepared with friendly faces and coloring books. The food was great. My husband was especially happy with his rib eye and I didn't try it but heard the fried clams were delicious. I would definitely go back.”

“Quaint outdoor experience for really good lunch fare. Very pleasant staff. We had Haddock chowder, fries, zucchini fries, lobster roll,fish sandwich, coleslaw, chili-cheese dog and shakes. All was yummy. Better lobster roll than we had in Portland!”

“Dropped into the Damariscotta River Grill on a weeknight in August. The bartender and wait staff were wonderfully attentive and helpful. The food was fabulous (I had a couple of seafood dishes). I look forward to my next visit!”
