I love when a random stop turns up a gold nugget. This places makes an excellent pie, dare I say it, the best ive come across in Maine so far. I had the Angelo Pappas. The base was a perfectly cooked thin crust, slightly thicker at the edges but that was light and airy too, not stodgy old bread. It had the right char on the crust too. Oysterhead Pizza Company is a small, wood-fired pizza shop located in downtown Damariscotta. On a side street, you'll find a dedicated parking area with a few spaces. Outside, you'll find a nice seating area for when the weather is nice. When you walk through the doors, you're greeted with a welcoming smoky, fireplace smell that serves as a reminder that you're about to eat some deliciouswood-fired pizza.
