Round Top is awesome! It's my favorite ice cream spot in the area. Portions are generous, the ice cream itself is so creamy and wonderful. We love it! My favorite is the lavender.
I personally don't think the ice cream is any better than from the grocery store. Service was fair to poor. One girl was on the register, and two girls just stood there when they could have waited on me. It was not busy. It does have a nice deck with a beautiful view.

Very nice view on the terrace, and the ice creams are delicious and inexpensive.
I ordered a shake. It tasted like vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce mixed in. Still good, but not standout. Would recommend something else — I think this was just a poor choice rather than reflective of the overall experience there.

This was our second time visiting and it was just as good as we remembered. Our son got the cotton candy ice cream and he loved it, as I loved my hot fudge sundae. Indoor seating, a good sized deck out back, and a few picnic tables in the yard too.
Inside they have more than just ice cream though, there's a whole store with Maine-made goods and clothing. Super cute stuff.
What can I say, it's icescream. All kinds of flavors. It is their own icecream.
