Ordered two sandwiches, a brownie and a baguette for $40. If the sandwiches were outstanding, I might not mind, but they were a joke. I ordered a cheese and avocado sandwich and my husband got turkey. There was ONE thinly sliced piece of cheese; my husband had two slices of thinly sliced turkey. They pile it high with shredded lettuce to make it look like you are getting something substantial. The place wan't busy, but it took 20 minutes to get TWO SANDWICHES. Never again.

Wonderful spot for tasty sandwiches. We tried it out while visiting the Bristol/Damariscotta area and were not disappointed. The staff was very friendly and welcoming of tourists and locals alike. The decor and ambiance was fun, funky and eclectic.
Additionally, a GIANT THANK YOU to the staff person who held on to my wife’s wallet after she dropped it outside the market and someone turned it in. They recognized her by her license photo and hoped we’d come back. Can’t thank you enough!

The Ruben is one of the best I’ve ever had. Fresh ingredients and artisan bread. This place has an awesome vibe as well. Highly recommend.

S. Fernald’s Country Store in Wiscasset has been a local fixture since 1891. Housed in a classic red building on Main Street, it blends history with small-town charm. Inside, shelves are filled with Maine-made goods, local jams, maple syrup, and nostalgic candies. Shoppers can also find home décor, kitchenware, and unique gifts that make it a favorite stop for both residents and visitors. The store’s welcoming atmosphere recalls an earlier era, when country stores were a community hub. With its mix of practical items and charming souvenirs, S. Fernald’s offers a taste of authentic Maine.

First time and struck gold!
Neptune helped us navigate the menu & ultimately cater our sandwich orders (the jerk chicken + the Texas..).
Hailey/Hailee? was in the kitchen & made some ridiculously amazing sandos (thanks for the crunchy, preserved cold pickle on the side as well) to start our day. Great pair working today - KUDOS!

We have been stopping in for years when we are in the area and really enjoy it here.
Half sandwiches here equal a whole sandwich anywhere else. Quality and service can not be beat. Too many favorites to list, but I am a fan of the liverwurst sandwich.
Thank you to the new owners for not changing anything. Why mess with a good thing?

So many sandwich choices I was overwhelmed, but seems like you can't go wrong no matter what you choose! Very delicious and kind staff.
Delicious sandwiches, kind people, great atmosphere and no single use cups :) give stars all around
They do an excellent job on variations on the Reuben sandwich theme. Also great brownies with coffee in the middle. Great vibe and great food.
