This is such a welcoming place. It couldn't be any cuter. A country candy store/deli/ coffee shop. It is a win win for almost anyone! The sandwiches are delicious and very reasonably priced. Staff are friendly, offering great service. I will definitely go again!♡

Do yourself a favor and eat here. I stopped in for breakfast while passing through town on a Wednesday in July and expected a line based on other reviews. I was surprised there was no line and a table available inside; there's 3 tables and a few stools at the counter. I had the bagel and lox with coffee. All of it was great. I wish I had more time to spend in town just so I could eat here again.

Take a step back in time when you walk into this country store. Besides all the nostalgic candy, toys & metal wall decor the sandwiches are not to be missed. I devoured mine too quickly to even snap a picture.There's a wide variety of classic cold deli and hot deli sandwiches, some with very creative names! You'll certainly find some sandwich served in half or whole sizes to appease you and the kiddos. Service is super friendly, but be prepared to wait. The 15ish minute wait close to peak lunch hour in early June was worth it (although I heard quotes of 30ish minutes while I waited). But there's plenty to look at while you wait. My shopaholic heart couldn't walk out with at least one purchase!I look forward to another visit to Fernald's to try another fresh deli sandwich. Maybe next time I'll remember to take a picture.

Simply the best darn place. Small family owned deli restaurant. It has a feeling of nostalgia. The people are so friendly that wait on you The food is sublime. It is my top place to go when coming into this wonderful, charming village. It is one of the Staples of Damariscotta that makes that area so special.

Choose from build your own with an extensive choice of bread and fillings, cold and hot speciality sandwiches to eat in (limited seating) or take away. You can also order breakfast items. Absolutely fantastic; prompt service, excellent value for money and delicious sandwiches with a generous amount of filling. While you are in Damariscotta, have a wander up Main Street and check out the independent shops.

Great sandwiches. Moderate prices. Every sandwich we’ve ever had here has been delicious. The breads are fresh and locally sourced. The “fixins” are generous and combined in unique ways. You really can’t go wrong with any choice you make. Seating is limited but service is quick and there are lots of local places to enjoy eating outside.
