I rarely eat here but after tonight it will be more rare. Both my husband and I are rather sick after eating the food and neither of us have eaten anything else in the general time frame.
I got gluten free pizza I'm not sure if for me it was a cross contamination issue or because my husband is also sick if its just poor quality food.

Loaded sreak sub was microwaved. So hot it burned my tongue. Wife's chicken wrap was incredibly dry
Very rude employees as well as the owners. You would think if you ordered over 300 dollers worth of shot from them it would be eteable. The food was not cooked and the wings were raw. I work for John Taffer from bar rescue and I will let him know how rude the owners were and refused to accept responsibility for their mistakes. Don't waste your hard earned money eating there an bologna sandwich would be better.

I left The Penalty Box 10 minutes ago and had a disappointing experience. I ordered the chicken wings, expecting a nice meal. What I got instead were raw chicken wings. This is not only unacceptable but also a serious hazard. Insofar, I hope the management takes immediate action to address this problem. Until then, I can't recommend this place to anyone.

On our never ending quest for pizza in Maine we visited The Penalty Box. Unfortunately, their crusts are preformed (not handmade) mozzarella is the chewy (choking hazard) kind and the veggies are likely out of a Sysco bag. Bummer... Our waitress was lovely and the draught beer was perfect. It's a bar.

I've been here at least a couple times every summer. They have gluten-free pizza for my son with Celiac, which I appreciate, and a creative selection of pizzas. What I can't understand is that after we had waited 45 minutes for our meal and eaten most of what we ordered, we asked for a takeaway box. We were given two, but found we could fit our leftovers into one, so gave back the extra. Unfortunately, in the rush of departure, we forgot the box on the table, as well as a magazine I was reading. An hour later I called in to ask about it ... but both had been "tossed." Apart from the language used, there was not even a consideration for our personal belongings, which could have been placed in a lost & found. It doesn't make any sense to "toss" a customer's takeaway box and belongings before the restaurant has even closed for the night. Beware not to forget anything at the Penalty Box! (well-chosen name).
