I was just there and waited an extremely long time for anyone to come to the window, even though it seemed like no one else was waiting for service or their orders to come out. A few people behind me in line left because it was taking so long. I made my order then waited. Not too long after, 1/3 of the order came out. We waited for a long time, like a looong time. I even got really close to the pickup window and tried to wave someone over to ask. I peered in and it looked like there were two teens sitting inside on phones, doing nothing. I had ordered a water because my kid wasnt feeling well, so I eventually just left without getting the rest of my order so I could buy water somewhere else. I live in town and I probably won't be returning.Edit: Thank you, I appreciate the response. Will try again with the kids later this summer.

We are SO glad we stopped by! Delicious ice cream in a convenient location on our trek from Maine to D.C.! All I wanted was blueberry ice cream before I left this beautiful state and this cute place delivered tenfold! They also had a ton of flavors and neat cone options like lavender and matcha. My wife ordered cookies and cream in a matcha cone and downed it before I could even get a picture 15/10 flavor and even kinder service- def stop here!!

Gifford’s ice cream is the best around, and what they serve! Wide variety of toppings, flavors, and other kinds of sweet treats. Terrific service; everyone is very nice and wonderfully attentive when taking your order, especially in delivering quality ice cream and deserts.

This cute ice cream shop right in downtown Damariscotta is clean, bright, and colorful, and the ice cream is the best around--absolutely no question! Delicious! And the young women who worked there couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. I am disturbed that when clicking on Tripadvisor, a really bad review shows up that bears no relation to our experience. That's wrong (and a terrible practice on Tripadvisor's part) . My kids and I got ice cream here, and loved it!

We went here while on a weekend trip through New England. Best ice cream we had in Maine. The owner was so nice. My 2 year old was melting down after a few hours in the car so the owner started to distract him with different types of ice cream - totally saved the day. She was so good with him. He now asks for “kid scoops” (wicked scoops) whenever he sees ice cream. She gave us a ton of local recommendations that were awesome, too. If you need incredible ice cream, local intel, or just a happy kid, this is the place. Thank you, Wicked scoops!
