Do not recommend due to the entitled and very rude manager.
I placed an online order via Toast which I was directed to through the restaurant’s website.
I got an email about 5 minutes later, that the order wasn’t confirmed and that I should call the restaurant to confirm.
Which I did, talking to the supposed manager.
When I told her that the order needs to be confirmed by the restaurant, she said there is no online order in their queue and then she kept saying, that if it didn’t go through, there is nothing she can do about it and that I should call Toast to get my money back.
That sounded very strange, considering that the restaurant is the one contracted with Toast. She ended up telling me, that they are super busy and “she doesn’t have time for this”. I was flabbergasted to say the least. Customer service at its best!
When I voiced my surprise at this comment, she proceeded to lecture me on how we do and don’t talk “here”. Mind you all I did was I said “are you serious?” in a slightly raised voice. She later proceeded to hang up the phone on me, twice.
Toast confirmed, that it is the restaurant’s responsibility to call them if an order doesn’t go through.
So here I am, spending time on calling Toast, calling the restaurant and being talked to in a very demeaning way, being told that my order doesn’t worry them since they are busy, not to mention it is now my problem as to how to get back my money, yet again having to spend time on disputing charges. And still no dinner.
I sent this feedback to the restaurant’s email address, but never got an answer. Not surprising to be honest.
I got a text from Toast that my order was ready, almost an hour later from placing the order. How surprising that there was indeed an order placed, huh?!….Food was okay, but I’m still frustrated
, that my money went to this restaurant.

Was here after a long hike and were desperately hungry, thirsty, and tired. The place did not disappoint!!!
Really neat atmosphere in downtown Ellsworth. The food is excellent, we had the Rueben, Grilled Chicken Sandwhich and Haddock Chowder. The corned beef is delicious. The Finn's chips were tasty although I should have grabbed a dip. That would have definitely upped the game on those. As would be expected of an Irish pub the alcoholic beverage selection is very good. We had no trouble with parking and the parking was free. I will add the caveat that this was early November. Would go again.

My wife and I went here after a matinee at The Grand. I had the boiled dinner and my wife had the fish and chips. We were both happy with the quality and quantity. The chips of my wife's fish and chips are house made, American style, potato chips, not French fry style.

We were fortunate enough to get their one window seat in a small alcove. We had a wonderful view of the street and the noise level was less than other areas. Fish and chips was great, but it was literally potato chips, not fries as most expect. Overall we had a great time there, happy with everything.

Great Irish pub, full bar with plenty of beer selections. Food was good too. It can get busy in the evening, we had about a 10 minute wait, nothing terrible. Our waitress was friendly.

Oh my! The Pub Steak shouldn't be overlooked. Tender beef medallions flavored to perfection with caramelized onion, mushrooms and gravy. It paired wonderful with the REAL garlic mashed potatoes and sautéed vegetables.
My companion had the Beer Battered Fish & Chips. A true beer batter and the home made chips were nice and crisp.
Our waitress was fun and delightful. We thanked someone who came out of the kitchen for the wonderful meal. Or only regret was we didn't save room for dessert.
Will we go back? Most definitely!
