“My husband and I regularly pass the White Wolf when headed to Sugarloaf for a full day of biking. We finally stopped in to see if the wolf burger was as good as my husband remembered when he hiked the Appalachian Trail 10 years ago. The decor was circa 1960s roadside inn. The food and service at this unique stop did not disappoint. The expansive whiteboard was filled with specials and is updated regularly as the chef offers a variety homemade appetizers, meals, and desserts. Each one made with wild picked or homegrown ingredients. The duck empanadas and fried fiddleheads sounded interesting and were great appetizers. I got the roasted pork with criminalized apples and cranberries and it tasted like thanksgiving. The veggies it came with were wild-picked, creatively prepared, and so tasty. The fries were hand cut and the burger roll was home baked. It didn’t take much convincing to try the raspberry dessert which of course was from her own raspberry patch. The gentlemen who severed us was lovely and we look forward to coming back to see them again.“

“My friend and I were exploring northeast Maine and decided to stop in for dinner. It's a standard-looking steakhouse with very friendly and welcoming staff. It's obvious they have their share of regulars, but they treated us like we were in every weekend and familiar faces. We were a little early for the 5pm dinner, so we ordered pork dumplings and crab rangoon while we waited. Both were obviously frozen fried, but definitely higher quality and well cooked. Plus, the dipping sauces with them were super tasty. They had a salad bar with dinner and we ordered steak tips and seafood Alfredo. Both were delicious and the salad bar was crisp and fresh. I would highly recommend stopping in if you're ever in the area.“
