There are so many great family-owned ice cream stands and cafes with homemade ice cream or famous Maine-made ice cream in my neck of the Maine woods (and seashore) that a chain normally pales in comparison, but Ben & Jerry's is good anywhere. I got their Coffee, Coffee BuzzBuzzBuzz (creative name) and added chocolate sprinkles to it because Ben & Jerry's has the best chocolate sprinkles ever.
The ice cream cone I got, salt carmel blonie, was delicious! The staff was friendly, helpful & ready to help my friend & I. He provided quick service with a smile. Even though I only got a kiddie size cone ( one scoop) is was enough to satisfy my ice cream craving. The flavor was spot on! We go again the next time I'm in Freeport, Maine.
