Never had frozen custard before. It was so good! We found it as we were driving through. My kids got the traditional flavor of vanilla and chocolate and I got maple blueberry. It was very yummy! And the portions are big! They had many traditional and also unique flavor choices. Will definitely give your kids that sugar high!

The only problem with Mainely custard is that they're not open year round! This is absolutely my first stop for an ice cream craving. Their ice cream is creamy and rich, but not overwhelming. They always carry the classics of chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and coffee, but every day they have new special flavors to try. Some of our favorites that we tried included Malt, Apple Pie, and Fluffernutter. Honestly, my favorite is always just classic vanilla! Their sundaes are delicious too. I like that they are accommodating of many dietary restrictions. For example, they have vegan options as well as gluten free waffle cones! *I cannot vouch for any of the vegan flavors, since I have never tried them, but they have a nice selection as well. *

We stopped here for some late night ice cream. The gal at the window was friendly and they had fast service. Has nice outdoor seating. We tried the strawberry milkshake and the brownie Sundae. Both were delicious. If you are looking for good custard ice cream highly recommend this place.
Got the eggnog hard serve. It was more orange than I'd expected but it tasted so good. Service was fast. Even as they had a huge line as the day was bright, sunny, and hot, it moved quickly. Service was excellent, the ice creams were excellent. Greeted us with a smile. I'll be back here for sure.

Delicious soft serve and dip. Original recipes. They have vegan options. The "pup cups" are amazing. Hard frozen (think keeps your pup busy and focused for a longer period than most treats) natural treats ingredients ( my pup had pumpkin, coconut milk and banana ice cream).
