Dolly's Restaurant Reviews
have been there twice and ordered scallops both times. they are not scallops they are some other ki d of fish. my throat swelling yesterday snd I mentioned it to the waitress and she said "that's our scallops" kind of expensive to order if you can't eat them. no plans on going back anytime soon. it was better when Dolly had it,you knew you were getting scallops if you ordered them
I’m not from the neighborhood, not even the state, but three different people from two towns recommended that I try Dolly’s. Fair warning, it’s always busy - which for a local place says a lot. If you’re on vacation, they have the best “ployes” in town (regional food).

Dolly's Restaurant is a well-loved local spot, often busy and recommended by people from different towns. It is known for its regional "ployes" and a diverse menu that includes tasty options like BLT, steak poutine, seafood platter, chicken stew, baked trout, and a chicken club plate. The ployes are special to the area, made with Silverhull buckwheat, and are light, fluffy, and served with butter, maple syrup, molasses, brown sugar, or cretons. The chicken stew is hearty, thick, and filled with potatoes and homemade dumplings, often served with plenty of gravy and cheese curds. The seafood platter, despite containing fake scallops, remains enjoyable, and the fries are well cooked with generous amounts of gravy and cheese curds. The service is friendly, attentive, and helps create a cozy, small-town atmosphere. Although it can be slow when crowded, the staff is helpful and personable. Visitors often find the food comforting and familiar, providing a taste of “home” and local tradition.
