I’ve been going to Jameson’s since I moved closer to Rockland. They’re usually great. This past weekend, however, I ordered the seafood basket. There were two kinds of fried fish, about 5-7 shrimp, and (I’m not kidding) TWO clams. Maybe it’s due to the season winding down, but it was disappointing for sure.

Best lobster rolls in the area. You can pick either mayo or butter. The bun is crispy and hard so it doesn't fall apart. The onion rings they make in house. I like how they give you butter on the side so you can choose whether you would like a heart attack roll or not. Fries are really good and also made in house. Good stuff, come eat.

I didn't get the Cole slaw or any of the dipping sauce I paid for/selected with online ordering, the honey mustard is what i got the chicken for. When you're at a rental and don't have items, it stinks. I still gave 5 stars bc the food was delicious. Fries were crispy and the haddock tacos were amazing. I asked for the salsa on the side and ended up with it on the tacos and 2 sides of it so I'd suggest double checking before leaving. I will be back for the tacos again

Stopped on a whim July 3 as I was passing through and was STARVING. Went in. Lots of workers,.only 1 actually doing something, scooping ice cream. Waited 3-4 minutes. Another woman came out asked if those in line were just ordering ice cream. I said no (intended to get lobster roll)...waited some more while 1 lady waited on ice cream (same customer who couldn't figure out what she wanted or if she liked it). Still waiting. Got a call...had to depart. Never even ordered. Didn't bother go back. If the 6 other people can't take a meal order....other places will. Sorry. They seemed pleasant enough, but either didn't care or didn't know how to write "1 lobster roll to go" down. No idea. DISAPPOINTED. Cute little place. No water views but not far away. Easy to drive an sit by water. I will try again, seemed like a nice clean place...and I assume it's the beginning of the year..so everyone is learning again (to some point). It was not busy with food (don't think there was 1 order in) and only that 1 customer with ice cream, but a difficult customer.... so my phone call wasn't their total issue... and normally I would have waited, especially for LOBSTER.
Rustic, clean, quintessential Maine seafood (and other) restaurant. Fresh and cooked to order. Family oriented.

I'm in love with this off the path and away from chain restaurants little seafood haven!The batter on the Haddock fish basket was amazing (perfect flake and no heavy grease!) ?. And our fries and onion rings were a classic delicious with flaky and salty perfection.Only reason I took 1 star from service and 1 star from atmosphere was the small benching, and the limited menu for the off season.But we All are coming back for the full experience this sunmer ☀️! Thank you to the great staff and of course Chef!
