We were staying in West Bath and searching for oysters we could buy directly from a farm. We saw the U-pick option at Eros and decided to give them a try. It a winding dirt road access, but boy is it worth it. We picked 2 dozen - you can pay with Venmo. They were absolutely delicious!!! We went back the next day and picked 48 more. This wasn’t a tour it was a tour de force—a fascinating glimpse into oyster farming with a great group of people and the wonderful Professor Mike Gaffney. With special thanks to my patient buddy who taught me to shuck!
Mike, his family and crew were amazing with our group of 18, including 10 kids age 5-11. He had us laughing, shucking, savoring their delicious oysters, even the littlest learned to eat and shuck. A highlight of our trip and we highly recommend the tour!!
