Great breakfast sandwiches!!!! We had ham, egg & cheese, and sausage, egg & cheese pastels. The pastel is a lightly fried puff pastry filled with the breakfast foods. Outstanding! Also had Cloud Puffs; basically round churro balls. Again, outstanding! Open for breakfast and lunch. Typical of Brazilian street food. Nice people, nice atmosphere. Highly recommended.

As a Brazilian, discovering Iaiá in Maine was a delight. The warm welcome from the staff, including owner Claudia, and inviting atmosphere made me feel at home. The pastel and pão de queijo were delicious. I'm excited to return and explore more of the menu!

For starters I love the Aesthetic of Iaia, its so welcoming, and colourful I could sit there all day. Its exactly what Gorham needed. The staff is incredibly friendly. You can really feel the passion they have for their business, and it makes every visit a positive one. There food is SO good, I have yet to try something I didn't like, and the smoothies are the best. I also love that they add seasonal items to keep their menu fresh. Overall Iaia continues to be one of my favorite cafes to visit!

As a proud Brazilian, it pains me to give a negative review to this restaurant. However, my recent experience at Iaia' Brazil has left me with no choice but to share my disappointment. The first red flag emerged when I noticed the exorbitant prices on the menu, particularly for items as humble as coxinhas. At $3 per coxinha that were very much on the small side, I couldn't help but feel that the establishment was preying on the ignorance of patrons unfamiliar with Brazilian cuisine. This kind of price point is far from the reality I know, where for example, one can enjoy a hundred "mini" coxinhas (barely smaller than the ones here) for a mere $12 an hour south in Massachusetts. The coxinhas themselves were lackluster, failing to capture the essence of this beloved Brazilian snack. Not only were they small in size, but they also lacked the essential requeijão (a traditional type of Brazilian cream cheese), leaving them with a mere "okay" status.Moving on to the pastels, I found them to be disappointingly underseasoned. For a street food that prides itself on bold and savory flavors, this lack of seasoning was a letdown. The prices, again, seemed unjustified considering the mediocre taste and portion size. The final blow came with the pricing of the brigadeiro, a quintessential Brazilian treat. Charging $1.50 for a single brigadeiro is simply unreasonable. These are simple recipes that adorn the tables of every Brazilian household and are sold at affordable prices in every corner of Brazil - and are incredibly simple to make. The notion that such basic street food can command such high prices in Iaia is disheartening. What troubles me most is the apparent trend of Brazilian entrepreneurs taking advantage of non-enclave areas, capitalizing on the novelty of our cuisine among the uninitiated. While I understand the need for businesses to cover overhead costs, the stark contrast in pricing and portion sizes between Iaia Brazil and similar establishments in nearby Brazilian enclaves raises eyebrows. In conclusion, my hope is that IAIA reevaluates its pricing strategy and strives for authenticity in both flavors and portion sizes. While I long to see more Brazilian street food establishments thrive outside our enclaves, it is disheartening to witness a deviation from the true spirit and affordability of these beloved culinary traditions.

A wonderful place! One of the owners spent time with our group to tell us about the business. They have a lot of passion behind what they do there. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was inviting. Very excited to go back sometime!

Would highly recommend going out of your way to see what's going here. Their breakfast sandwiches with pao de queijo are by far the best breakfast sandwiches I've had in a long time and if you need a sweet treat they got you covered. 100/10Vegetarian options: I had the spinach egg and cheese and it was super tasty.
