Anyone from this part of Maine well knows the many years of great food, fun and music at The Wharf, in Hallowell, Maine. Memories were made there. Unfortunately, a few years ago, I can't recall why, they had to move from their historical location on the Kennebec River, to Water Street in Augusta, also on the river, however in a run down spot on Water Street. Not much for a bar scene in Augusta. So this is one of the few places to go. Staff was awesome. The crowd seemed to be older so fair warning. Hope this place does well. It is a good place to grab a drink.
Great spot, swing dancing on Wednesday nights followed by open mic. Great open dance hall that's well decorated with license plates, staff are friendly and inviting drinks are very reasonably priced, this place is a hidden gem just off the main water st hustle bustle. A+
