The crab wagons were homemade and delicious af! The lobster stew was great too! We also had the lobster roll with chips! You can get fries too but chips just gives your the crunch satisfaction you need at the end of a meal! Try the Atlantic Brewing company Bar Harbor Blueberry Ale! It's so good! They have a pretty cool brewery in Bar Harbor too! Our waiter was really nice and gave great recommendations! This was one of our favorite places outside of Portland, Maine! Can't wait to come back!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options available!Parking: Lots of parking!Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly!Wheelchair accessibility: No steps!

Food is very good, limited menu.in the winter. The only downside is that most of the seating is booths which are very tight for larger people, there was only one table in the dining room, and the rest are in the very noisy bar and close together.

Seems to have gone downhill since I was last here before the Pandemic. Got fried clams…overpriced and overcooked, and barely warm….seemed like they’d been cook earlier and allowed to sit out before serving. A mistake not to choose the lobster, although price for lobster was also astronomical. Like practically everywhere in Maine, the place was short-staffed and employees seemed to be struggling to keep up with the orders.

The old review! Five Stars. Continue to read.(The new review not so restaurant friendly SAD!! )Excellent menu/variety would fill all taste requirements. Fresh!Location waterfront key. Views, Adirondack chairs. Entrance a little hard to see. You can see the restaurant, small cottage lined driveway. Go slow!Outside, inside, big restaurant, generous sized bar area.Service fast and friendly! Even though they warn staffing shortages— I commented as such on the fast service! to hostess. Perhaps do the same. Positives welcome in this mad mad mad world!Enjoy. Very popular. Amazing views.Note: Was once the location for a major credit card commercials (2009)UPDATE SUMMER 2023! Very dog unfriendly!!! If you have a ? your told to take a picnic table behind a tent filled cars at the end of the point where old raggedy weathered picnic tables with grass taller than tables, random staff cars.Beauty gone at this once eatery where I always took guests. NOW Patrons packed on the deck to assure the most tourist dollar!! Unfriendly guy/host! Very nice young women! staff however. We did not stay. A tragedy! ( I never write bad reviews I’m so proud of our “foodie” reputation. ). Won’t be back sad. We drove back to Damariscotta, Schooner Landing, their lab in toe and before seated on the pier the docile lab had a bowl of water. No one packed like sardines.Friendliness from owner Scott. Saved the day.I was so embarrassed 40 minutes from Cook’s. (Sighs) One star is for the lovely young woman who apologized.

Although a bit pricey, the cost was worth it! My wife and I shared the lobster dip @$32, and the seafood combo @36 and I had a local micro-brew ([email protected]). We should have not ordered the combo sine the lobster dip filled us up. It was extremely delicious and a must order if you have opportunity to visit this fine establishment. The combo dish was good but since we were already full it was not enjoyed as much. The beer was very good, as well.

We went to Cook's for the first time on a date, in the 1980's, and have returned every time we visit the area. Several visits were for anniversaries, as was this. The lobster here is excellent, as are the sides, soup and appetizers. Our server was very friendly and efficient, despite it being crowded. The photos are from our most-recent visit, and a past year's anniversary. Good times.Parking: There is ample parking, but the lot is shared with charter boats and there are frequently large crowds of people vying for the spaces.
