Boulangerie - A Proper Bakery

Super good food, good prices, and great staff. No indoor seating, patio only but it was a cute and comfortable patio. Just walking up to it, you get lost in the delicious smells. Will definitely go again.

Apparently on Sundays they only sell old pastries, and we were unaware when we visited. We had high hopes for this place because it looks so charming in photos and has excellent reviews so we were looking forward to visiting. When we walked in, we heard the employees say that the pastries were half off, but when we checked out we were charged full price. We ignored it, thinking it's nice to support a local spot and we were sure the pastries would taste great... boy were we wrong! The pastries were definitely older than 1 day and were honestly super stale, dry and not edible. We unfortunately did not have a pleasant experience and cannot recommend being a patron to this space... disappointing.

One of our favorite stops in Kennebunkport! We always make a point to visit Boulangerie for their daily quiche—it’s consistently delicious, and we try to arrive early before it sells out. The pastries are just as good; we especially love the cinnamon rolls and coffee cake. It’s a cozy spot with top-quality baked goods that keep us coming back. Our only wish is that they were open on Sundays and Mondays—we’re usually in town on weekends and would love the chance to enjoy it more often!

The baked goods at the Boulangerie are DELICIOUS!! I just feel there's a few missed opportunities - firstly, the packaging! We got 5 separate boxes for our lunch, even though we were going to eat at the outdoor seating and mentioned this several times. So much waste! I know they likely don't want to do dishes, but a paper plate would have been better. Also, it seems like a wasted potential to not have some tables indoors since it does look like quite a big building. Product is GREAT, logistics need improving. Thanks for the delicious lunch though!

It is worth the wait. When we arrived there was a queue, but we did not mind. We needed the waiting time for making a decision on what to order. There is so much choice and everything looks delicious.

After trying another “French” bakery in town and being disappointed, we visited Boulangerie, and thank god we did! THIS is an authentic bakery! The chocolate croissant was out of this world, and for a chocoholic like me, their brownie called to me right away. We would’ve taken the whole store home with us if we could’ve. The staff couldn’t have been nicer, and we enjoyed sitting outside. I’ll be sure to stop here any time I’m in Kennebunk!

Made my first visit this morning, and it well exceeded my expectations! The place is beautiful, inside and out. Everything I bought is amazing and I’m so thrilled to have this place so close by. It’s like they made the perfect neighborhood bakery. I’ll be back for sure, and everyone, please support this business!

I am glad to have found this place. Definitely a local spot. The pasties are delicious and the coffee is great! They have outdoor tables which are a great place to enjoy your morning coffee!
