Stopped for appetizer on way back from visiting local area, but off season so most places closed. Had some wings that were good. Nice draft beer selection and waitress was great. Place had a decent lunch crowd as not many options in area this time of year. Menu is your basic pub selection but worth a visit if your in the area

Greta experience, was in town for work and choose to dine here. First night had the grilled salmon and mashed potatoes, phenomenal. Came back the next day and had the diffuser burger and it was great all the ingredients are fresh and complemented each other. Had a few drinks on tap which was great.

RUDE bartender. He shut the TV off during the World Series last fall when there was 2 outs left. Multiple parties were shivering outside watching it through the window after he rudely told us to get out because it’s past closing (I get it and we all respected it, but he was so rude about it). He knew we were watching outside and shut decided to shut it off with TWO OUTS LEFT, but kept a tiny TV on for him to see while the staff was cleaning, but we couldn’t see it clearly. The power trip this man was on is disgusting. I’ve been going to this place for years and will not be back. It isn’t hard to be kind in a world that is already cruel enough. Wanted to enjoy the game with my dad who has already lost one daughter and has a hard enough life as is.

4 stars as I generally go for lunch only, and 5 stars for the bartending prowess of Ryan, I always feel welcome and enjoy the chats while there. Great ambiance on the Mousam River dam with lots of space. Ok, update 4 years later... New Chef, Sam, only had a couple things so far, but outstanding. Someone who cares about food. Makes such a HUGE difference.

GREAT FOOD LARGE PORTIONS We have visited Duffys a handful of times over the past 4+ years now. This weekend we decided to invite friends to visit Kennebunkport for Halloween. We wanted Duffys for dinner just as we had two years ago. We expected busy, they dont accept reservations which we remembered from previous years. We expected a bit longer wait since instead of a 4 top we had 7 of us this time. The young man hostess appeared to not be a fan of the job or was a bit understandably overwhelmed..he told us about 45 minute wait. We were fine, he did explain they require atleast 1 person from the party to be present inside or the spot is not held for a table. 7 of us waiting inside was hard as theres not much space. While other families were also entering. We saw another family of like 6 or so come in and he explained by the time theyd get a table theyd be closed over an hour wait. We were finally seated (and perfectly happy having waited patiently and understandably) Our waitress apologized for our wait for sitting and our food (which didnt stand out to take too long) she stated they had someone call out they were short staffed and had an event oe something happen to another staff member. They seemed upset as in it was a tragic thing that happened whatver it was. I told her we understood and were sorry to hear, and let her know they were doing great and the best they could. Our food was great. Throughout the table we had 2 lobster rolls one hot with butter one cold(by request w mayo) they were STUFFED overstuffed. THE best lobster rolls! So much meat overflowing SO worth it. Our table also ordered pulled pork nachos which were loved, fried haddock which was also large portioned and delicious, the fries were great, one of our guests ordered some sort of burger or sandwich that they enjoyed, and another got Chicken pot pie which was large portioned as well. Overall Halloween night was busy as expected and though staff were scrambling they deserve to be recognized and called out for doing the best they could! & the Chef for serving amazing food with very great portions.
We returned tonight two nights after Halloween. We had no wait, and were seated immediately. The young woman who was our waitress was very dry. No personality. Maybe she was new, or just over the job this night. But she wasn't warm and welcoming. Just a kinda take your order, walk away, return with food and walk away type personality. Our 8 year old son thanked her for taking our order and she didnt even acknowledged his thanks, she just also walked off. 🤷♀️ she wasn't the worst waitress in the world but she just wasn't welcoming/friendly. Our food of 2 more lobster rolls pretty full again tonight were great, fries great, cesar salad which was huge, filling, and delicious. We look forward to our next visits at Duffys. Thank you for great food!
I ordered the scallops, baked Haddock and NE chowder for take-out. The scallops were so bitter, I couldn't eat more than two, yuck! The Haddock was such a small piece. Most of the plate was mashed potatoes. I actually had to look for the fish. I'm from out of town and ate here three years ago and remember it was really good. I found out the $72.00 way that it's gone down hill. I was staying in Scarborough and drove 20 miles to pick-up the order. Won't be back.
