They're fast, reliable, and even though the place has gone through a succession of owners over the last 20 years, they've always maintained a very consistent product. One stand-out is the wonton soup, which is superbly flavorful and has a ton of veggies (which is really the way you want it).

This is a great little restaurant with amazing food! You will easily have enough for 2 meals. I had the orange chicken. It came with 2 teriyaki chicken skewers, pork fried rice (the best I have had!) And a spring roll. Owner is just the sweetest person. We were visiting from PA and will definitely stop the next time we are in the area!

I am not sure if they owned it back then, but I would come here a growing up, every year as a faimly we would order as a faimly when I was a child so I have a ton of positive nostalgic feelings here. would have leftovers for days. I strongly suggest getting a dinner or lunch specials they are a great amount of food for the money. It is probably one of the best Chinese restaurant in Southern Maine. The staff my last visit was incredible. It's a kennebunk staple.

the food was absolutely amazing! i had orange chicken dinner combo and my fiance got the option c from the ABC section, plus one order of rangoons. the portions were INSANE! $45 is going to feed us both 3 times! i consider myself a bit of a food snob, but everything was pretty amazing. the orange chicken had a beautiful crunch, and a perfect not too sweet not too tangy sauce. the rangoons had a fantastic filling, not too cream cheesy and not too sweet but perfectly combined for an amazing taste.

you know how sometimes the tea at chinese restaurants is a bit bitter? this one was spot on!! and the tea is free for all 🥲 i love it here and i will be coming back every single time im in the area!

the service at the front desk was stellar as well, very personably and friendly staff. extremely kind folks over there! very attentive & professional!

Lucky Star has become a regular staple for us. Super friendly staff and the best value take-out in the Kennebunks. We order online and the food is always ready when it’s supposed to be. This is not high end Chinese food, but it’s exactly what it sets out to be.

Exactly what I expected for a hole-in-the-wall fast Chinese place. Good food, friendly service. Definitely more of a takeout kind of place, the dining room is...efficient, with a loud TV and no ambiance. But for takeout this place is great and does a booming business.

I was there a couple of weeks ago and ordered Mongolian beef. What I received was beef heavily loaded with green peppers and very little spiciness. I thought I had been given green pepper beef by mistake. I asked the woman working there if there had been a mixup on the order, but she insisted that what I received was the Mongolian beef. If that is the case, it was the least flavorful Mongolian beef that I have ever had.
