We had the haddock bites and parmesan truffle fries. They were amazing!!! The atmosphere is great, a beautiful view of the wharf. Brooke was amazing!

The Pilot House came in a very close second to Mabel’s Lobster Claw — and that says a lot! The food here is absolutely delicious. I had the lobster roll with clam chowder, and both were incredible — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. My husband ordered the baked crusted haddock and loved every bite, and my mother-in-law had the fish tacos, which were just as good.
The atmosphere has that classic small-town coastal feel — casual, welcoming, and full of local charm. What makes it even better is the history tied to this place. The building originally stood as part of Kennebunkport’s old railroad era and was later turned around on its lot in the 1970s. It sits beside the Spirit of Massachusetts, a 19th-century schooner that nods to the town’s rich maritime past. Between the amazing food, friendly service, and a little piece of local history, The Pilot House is a spot we’ll absolutely return to. Five stars all the way!

Food was awesome. Best clam chowder so far and coconut shrimp delicious. Nice selection of beers. Good location looking over marina. Service was a bit slow. Overall high quality place.

I love The Pilot House. The food and service is fabulous. There is an upstairs seating area (my favorite) as well as the downstairs. My meal always comes out hot and tasty. It has a great atmosphere that is laid back. You are never rushed here.
