The most amazing lobster I have ever had! An overall fantastic, quintessential Maine experience with delicious food and great atmosphere! Already counting down the days until next time I can be back in Kennebunkport.

There's always a long line, but you can't beat the fried whole-belly clams. Beem going there since I was born, it's a staple of the port!

Excellent shack to grab a lobster roll! Service is friendly, food is delicious. Worth the money and the wait. Waits can be long do to the consistent stream of tour busses that drop off too many people. Aside from that, great place!

First time visiting Kennebunkport so I had to try a lobster roll from The Clam Shack. The lobster was good and I was given a “butter” pin to keep based off of my order which was very cute. I thought the lobster would be served warm but it was cold. They had plenty of seating available with picnic tables outside of the shack that are sectioned off nicely by lobster traps.

I was very excited to try out the Clam Shack but was a bit underwhelmed. People rave about the lobster roll but it wasn't my cup of tea. They do them cold with either butter, mayo, or both. I got it with Butter, and I do prefer a hot lobster roll in general. It was also weird that they serve it on a burger bun. That feels like just an excuse for them to give less meat.
On the other hand, the clam chowder and clam strips were very good, and I would come back for those. I guess it's called the Clam Shack for a reason! Come for the clam dishes, skip the lobster.

We ordered a pint of fried clams and a pint of fried scallops. The clams were just okay. As for the scallops, they were not edible. We tried four of them. They were not fully cooked and tasted “off.” We ended up throwing the scallops in the trash. I have been eating fried seafood for decades and these were truly disappointing to me.
Stellar lobster rolls. VERY limited parking, so plan ahead.

Bucket list visit to Maine. Of course you have to have clam chowder. I got a bowl of chowder and a clam strip basket with French fries and coleslaw. Total price $40.94. Long lines, self service, but the food was so good. I don't eat a lot, so I got 2 meals out of it.

Nice atmosphere, decent amount of seating and on the water. The lobster roll though, doesn’t cut it. It was served on a hamburger bun instead of the traditional garlic bread. Definitely the smallest amount of lobster we received compared to other rolls for the same price. I’d definitely go with another menu item if you stop here.

The best lobster roll we had in our week in New England! I found out I prefer warm lobster vs cold lobster in a roll and this place was on point! Delicious.....but a click pricey at 35 bucks a sandwich. But worth it!

One of our favorites in Maine and we had all the big names. They get through their line the fastest of any of the long lines we waited in and the road was delicious. Loved it on the sandwich bun for something different
