Loved our visit to the Village tavern. Our waitress Dawn was so nice and very attentive! we were a party of 9 and she took great care of us. The food was amazing had the mussels, calamari, buffalo cauliflower, salmon, lamb shank, braised short ribs, and seafood pasta and it was all delicious! Large portions very reasonable priced! We asked to split dessert and she brought it out already split and on two plats it was great! Can't wait to return! Would 100% recommend.

Restaurant was recommended to us by the lodging we stayed at in Kenebunk. Waited about 20 minutes before we were seated. Staff were super friendly and attentive to customers. Our server was efficient and his recommendations for dinner were on point.
The main meals included lamb shank and wild rice. Meat was super tender and well seasoned. We also ordered linguini pasta with meatballs which was delicious. The cream filled eclair served with ice cream was decadent.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal in this warm and cozy restaurant

This was the best meal we had during our vacation to southern maine. Delicious food, generous portions and fair prices. Friendly competent servers and warm atmosphere added to the overall charm. Filled with locals and not a tourist trap.

Had to wait about 30 minutes for our reservation table to become available, but the food and drinks were good, and made the wait worthwhile.

Parking: Ample parking behind the venue on the right, but wasn't clearly marked.

Wheelchair accessibility: No visible handicapped parking spaces. Inside dining and restroom access did not appear to have ramps.

Great restaurant and staff. I grew up in west K so the location really brings me back. Last night my wife and I had a great dinner for our anniversary, we left stuffed full of amazing food. The host was super nice and our waiter (Stephen..I think) was one of the best we’ve ever had.

The menu was not huge. It was not small. It had something for most everyone, even the kids. The prices were not cheap, but we expected that. I have no problem paying the freight at a good restaurant. And let's just say, the Village Tavern turned out to be better than the hype. Just their sides were awesome, never mind the Entrees. A gastronomical pleasure I have not had in a long time. All of us were more than impressed. The service was excellent and even though there was a line outside, we never felt pressure to get up and leave. A great feed with great company. Life was as good as it gets at the Village Tavern yesterday.

What a nice change of a culinary experience. This joint is about 1 mile from the rest area on i95. It's like a 25 minute walk or a 10 minute bike ride.....I like my bike. I got the salmon..tasty with fancy potato pancake with special sauce........ummmmm special sauce. BTW, this place gets busy so there is a wait time. BUT, its not a Dennys, Iron Skillet, or Country Pride

Then I got the fancy creme brulee or as Grandma called it, egg custard. I guess, and this is just one simple truckers take on the subject, egg custard isn't a "brulee" until you sprinkle sugar on top and torch it to make that hard candy coating.

Lastly a nice shout out to the bar keeps, Ryan and Morgan. . Morgan is new here and did a dandy job of serving us, we the customers.

Eat here if you are in the area.
