We came to Maine for my first time in many many years and my wife chose Allison’s in Kennebunkport for dinner. It looked like a great choice. I chose the seafood risotto for my entree…and I use that term very loosely. The risotto was cold in one of the 2 bites I ate, as it tasted like a bottle of lemon juice, the fake bottles , not actual lemon, so I stopped eating it. The muscles were good, the grilled lobster tail was tasteless, and we are talking Maine Lobster here…the shrimp on the plate were semi transparent and barely had any link to them so I hope I don’t throw up tomorrow from the one that I actually ate, the second shrimp I tried to eat I had to spit out due to not being cooked almost at all …all I can say is for over $100 I expected much more especially from the lobster in Maine, if I had never before eaten risotto or shrimp or lobster , I would honestly NEVER eat any of those again after that. It was absolutely horrible and I will never go back, my wife did enjoy her lobster roll however.

Update: It's been a couple years. Tried the Lobster Bisque Fries and the Lobster Roll Trio this time. Not a single complaint. This food is worth.

Had the lobster roll drizzled with lobster bisque...delish! Had to wait 40 min for table for 2. But Kennebunkport was much busier than we expected at 2 pm. Worth it!

Phenomenal place, we went for a dinner here and everything was perfect! Starting with service Christopher was really good, he explained everything that we asked very good and he was present! Food is amazing, appetizers stuffed mushrooms and Mussels, kussels are amazing and it is big size for sharing! Mains are also good size and taste really good, seafood risotto is soo good, I can say the best that I ever tried! Plenty of seafood, way more that I expected that I am gonna get. Fried fish comes like more pieces but also good size! Beer selection big enough for everyone to find something good and everything about them is explained very well! Definitely recommend this place !!
Parking: Parking is behind restaurant, it is 5$ per hour but it is right there.
