“Visiting Kennebunkport for the first time so picking a restaurant was based on reviews and we were so happy we found this place as it did not disappoint. From the beginning to the end the experience was delightful. My girlfriends and I felt like we hit the jackpot. Our server Amanda was amazing. The food presentation was beautiful, not to mention delicious. The location was tucked down a road and you will not be disappointed with the views. This is a must for anyone visiting Kennebunkport.”
“After having to leave another restaurant in Kennebunkport due to discrimination, we were able to eat at the Boathouse. Everyone was extremely accommodating, and everything on the menu was incredible. I'll be thinking about the shrimp and scallop fried rice for a long long time.”
“My new favorite place! Everything was perfect from the moment we walked in and John, our host, sat us at the perfect swanky booth with the best view! Then our server, Leah, was fabulous with suggestions & service. Wonderful dining experience!”
“Really great spot to grab drinks to-go, with such a variety of smoothies! Whenever I am in Kennebunkport I routinely stop in for an espresso and a smoothie, and a pup-cup for my dog. And the employees are always smiling.”
“What a gem we found! Casa 77 was a surprise to my wife and I. Just out for a drive on a cloudy day in Maine we could never imagine such a quaint restaurant sitting on the docks. Walking in we found a pub reminiscent of an old seashore tavern. The menu is small and simple! The fisherman empanadas were full and tasty! The fish and chips my wife ordered were amazing making me jealous I got the burger, but I wasn't disappointed! The flavors danced on our tongues like John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever! We highly recommend it but trust us when we say come during the winter because this place I am sure is slammed during the summer! This will be our go to when visiting Kennebunkport!”
“Very good ice cream with huge sizes. Expensive as expected and can have long lines too. Best time to go is afternoon or a weekday night. Packed on weekends with hour wait times.”
“Really cute place in Kennebunkport to grab some pizza. During off season it's a ghost town like most places in ME but we were lucky to find this. The owner was very kind and welcoming. Pizza was good; hit the spot.”
“The ultimate locale to snag an ice cream, lemonade, or a hot dog while indulging in some prime people-watching. As someone who's defenseless against the charms of peppermint stick ice cream, I must admit this one truly tickled my taste buds.”
“We went there for lunch and had awesome meals. I ordered a lobster roll and must say I never had one with this much lobster meat before! It was loaded! Loved it! The sweet potato fries were cooked just right too! Just crispy enough! My husband ordered a lobster club sandwich which is a double decker with one layer of lobster meat and the other with bacon lettuce and tomatoes! He couldn't finish it! So good and very filling! You definitely get your money's worth. Great atmosphere eating out on the deck too!”
“I swear the people reviewing this little deli are confusing it for the wrong place just based on some of the details in the posts. #1, there is no "cook" behind anyone. It is one guy running the deli by himself, and he is awesome! There are no "kids" running the cash register. #2, there is no guy with blonde curly hair behind the counter. I suspect this is because the location is falsely showing up as by the bridge, not around the corner in front of Abacus. Ok, so here is my review. Sorry no pics. We come from CT to the Old Salt Pantry just for their lobster rolls. A few weeks ago when we visited for a few days we went there *every day*, it is that good. My wife is an aficianado of lobster rolls and we know virtually every place, touristy or otherwise. And by far these are the best lobster rolls to be found. He makes a really good BLT sandwich that is among my favorites too! The trick, we once found, is that he uses a combination of clarified butter and a touch of mayonnaise on his cold lobster salad. Just don't expect to get a hot CT style lobster roll unless you ask for it.”
“Stayed at the Kennebunkport inn , made reservations for dinner in the Ski Gondola. ( the bureigh ) staff is very friendly! Gondolas are adorable and comfy & heated! Ordered drinks and app, had crab and cheese dip with chips! I did mot care for this dip. Made our dinner selections of Pork Tenderloin and baked stuffed haddock. My tenderloin was good and filling, husbands Haddock was also good, then had creme brûlée to end our night... our waitress was friendly and nice and on-top of refills and making sure we had all we needed.”
“well this place must be wonderful in the summer, but for us it was not summer but still nice, great view of the water and sunset, service was pleasant, very nice bar area though small.....food selection interesting, great apps and generous too, burger was very good, burnt ends disappointing....lovely place.”
“First time in, service was great. The food was good and the atmosphere encouraged you to enjoy yourself.Parking: We found a spot directly out front, ten feet from the door”
“I tried the Pistachio Latte because it sounded delicious and I'd read positive reviews about it. It did not disappoint! The Maple Pumpkin Butter Toast was equally delicious. The staff and service wasn't lacking either. On a cool, dreary day, this spot was warm and satisfying. I'll definitely return.”
“We ate at the Front Yard Saturday 3/23/24, our meals and service was excellent. The Octopus we had for an appetizer was tender and so delicious. Our meals were delicious also, I had the Lobster and Shrimp with papperdelli ale vodka and my wife had the seafood baulabaise. Jenni was our waitress and she was awesome.”
“Amazing place! Vickie was holding down the place by herself because of the weather, but she was so kind and excited to make our lunch! Everything was delicious and if you're looking for a great place to eat that's vegetarian/vegan friendly, this is the best place around. We can't wait to stop by again!Vegetarian options: Incredible cashew cheeseDietary restrictions: Vegetarian and vegan friendly, gluten-free options.”
“My wife and I brought some of our visiting family here for dinner after the Christmas Prelude and we really enjoyed ourselves! The place has a cool vibe and the food was outstanding.”
“Small, quaint place. Went on a Thursday night around 5pm. Very fast service. House margaritas were flavorful. Wish they were a little heavier on the tequila (but I understand). Smothered burritos aren't huge, but they make up for it in flavor; still had a small portion to take home. Server was very attentive and prompt. Not sure why this location keeps going through name changes but the food to me is good.”
“Stopped in Christmas prelude and had the best el furgo margarita. The staff was incredibly kind, and the atmosphere fun and light. Will be going back to try food as it looked amazing!”
“Delicious! Vegetarian friendly, tempeh sandwich and best fish and chips around. But my favorite part was the curved baskets, they made it really easy to cut the fish. Don't forget desert, sea salt vanilla swirled with roasted pineapple was better then most ice cream shops.Kid-friendliness: My daughter loved waving through the window at everyone walking by.”
“Stopped here on a day out to Maine with a friend and my family. Sampled the banana red hot, which was excellent, but settled on the salty sweet cream flavor. It was so good, smooth and creamy and a flavor that reminded me of kettle corn. Definitely a must if you’re visiting kennebunkport!”
“A beautifully warm and inviting restaurant, in Biddeford, what a gem for the area! I had the pleasure of eating here for the first time recently and was blown away. Delicious sweets with Turkish, Indian and Kuwaiti influences, and fresh, flavorful Middle Eastern plates and sandwiches. My only regret…I wish I had travelled to eat here sooner!”
“Everything was amazing. We would highly recommend starting off with a warm mug of miso soup. Sitting at the bar allowed us to get suggestions from Chef on additional items to try. Staff helped us celebrate our new house purchase with a complementary house orange sparkling wine toast. There is no doubt reservations will the scarce during the summer, so plan ahead!”
“The overall experience was exceptional. Great food, great service, every detail was thought of. From the time we drove up to the entrance to the time we received our coast when leaving we were treated like royalty. Highly recommend for special occasions you will not be disappointed.”
“Great coffee, tea, and pastries. GF packaged options. Beautiful warm decor and chill vibes. It's so great to grab a quality cup of coffee. Even have pour over available for aficionados.”
“Drove 30 minutes to try this place and it exceeded my expectations. I have been searching for a great Greek place and found it here! Would 100% recommend! Wish there was one of these in Portland but I’ll drive here any day!”
“I’m so glad my husband and I stopped in on a stroll through downtown recently. I don’t know why it took us so long to get back but it certainly won’t again. I love the warm atmosphere. I was worried I would feel underdressed in my jeans and walking shoes but worried for nothing. It feels fancy but everyone was so relaxed and casual. It would be fun to dress up in date night though. I may never be “ just a wine” drinker again. The cocktail was incredible and made me realize I need to expand my horizons. What a perfect location. I can’t wait to sit outside with the flaming patio heaters especially with more green space out front at the intersection. Will be returning soon!”
“Sweetcream is a dream come true. They are the best, best, best in the area. I told my partner one day that I want pumpkin ice cream. I didn't know it could truly exist. A week or so later, lo and behold, Pumpkin Pie was a menu item at Sweetcream. My mind was read! The seasonal flavors are phenomenal: egg nog, gingerbread, cranberry... After some looong days at school, trusty Sweetcream is reliable and open late (as far as local spots go), so I will grab a cone, whether its 75 or 32 degrees out.”
“We held a community even there on a Saturday afternoon. Forty geeky people playing games and enjoying each other's company. The large tables are great for games and the have a HUGE selection of games to borrow.”
“My best friend and I went to Earth for dinner last Saturday. I hadn’t been there for over a year. It was such a surprise, incredible, unexpected experience, way above our expectations. From a culinary perspective, the menu is super well balanced with dishes that are comforting and innovating. The kitchen executes it to perfection, using outstanding produce and cooking it all in a way that showcases each element on your plate, yet never managing to hide one from the other. One thing I loved was the fact that all protein was well seasoned and perfectly cooked, never needing any sauces to mask its own flavour. We had duck, fish, venison, roasts carrots, ravioli, the tuna sashimi, the scallops and the soup of the day.Portions are perfectly sized. In my opinion, outstanding value for money. The wine list is excellent. Diverse, affordable and complementary to the menu.Deserts were nice as well, especially the Opera Cake and the Pavlova (I could have had a pint of the home made raspberry sorbet that comes as a side to it!).Service was also a star milestone. We had Charlie as a waiter. It makes a huge difference when you have someone that is passionate about what he’s presenting to you, knows the dishes and can honestly tell you about what they are and make genuine recommendations, on top of being good at reading the table, being present without being fake about it, and overall just another highlight of the evening, without being intrusive or over the top (which I find can be the case in some similar restaurants that are training their staff to over sell or use key moments of the evening to interject and justify a tip, or make up for not so perfect aspects of the service).Earth’s environment keeps you relaxed in a very beautiful and elegant room that transports you to a little fairy land of an elegant lodge lost in a wintery forest in Maine. It’s very chic, yet not stuffy. It’s cozy. It has a great vibe for adults, no matter the occasion. But let the Earth’s environment set the mood, I think you should focus on the food, if you’re into it… you can have fun putting together your prix fix menu and have a jolly dinner with someone you like…The only aspect of the night that I think deserves attention from management is that we had a table next to us with a small child, 5 or 6, that was watching Nickelodeon on mum’s phone, without an earphone. My friend could hear Dora the Explora’s every move in her quest to find her backpack… but it was an early winter Saturday evening and the girl was a saint. I would however, empower staff to monitor and curb anyone using their phones on speakers, or FaceTime, while at their table. It was a GREAT dinner! Coming back soon!”
