Comfortable and casual atmosphere with great service and excellent food. Worthy seafood choices on the menu (duh! it’s Maine) but there are other choices as well.
As good as the food is, so too is the service. Our server was happy to offer recommendations for the meals and also for local activities and excursions. Great advice.

We had lunch here in a beautiful day recently. There was a wait and we enjoyed a cocktail by the marina. I had my first lobster of this trip and it was so disappointing. Lobster salad in an avocado - watery and quite tasteless.

Had a late lunch at the bar outside on the big deck. Great location on the river. Good cocktails, beer and tasty lunch. One of our favorite places in Kennebunkport.

We dine at the Arundel Wharf each season and the food is always great. My wife had a haddock sandwich which was decent, smaller piece of fish than usual. Our guests had the Cob Salad which was great and the Maine Steamers which are good. Two of us had the clam and also the seafood chowder which was good, not phenomenal but good. Too many potatoes. I had the Small plate Lobster with avocado, tomatoes, which was outstanding. My meal was at five star. Overall, the place is good and realistically priced. Will come back.

Great food, service, and atmosphere. I had the stuffed haddock, my husband had the fish & chips, and we finished it off with the blueberry pie. It was all delicious! We especially loved the stuffed haddock and pie. It was a beautiful spot and a great way to end our honeymoon in Kennebunkport! Only complaint is the chairs were pretty small and not super comfortable. Someone plus sized might not be able to fit in them.

Food left a lot of to be desired. We each had 2 margaritas the second one wasn't even a margarita mix it was orange juice. No matter if it wasn't the same bar tender it still should of come out the same. After soon to be sixty years in the bar and restaurant business everything should come out the same no matter what we get.

We really want to like this place, but it just always gives so many reasons not to. On our most recent visit this weekend, we were told the wait for a table on the deck would be about 30 minutes. It took more than twice that long. The wait is what it is, but not giving an honest estimate up front, especially with kids in our party, is very frustrating. Once we were seated, it was obvious the place was understaffed and the waitstaff was overworked. Waiting, serving, busing. But it took a long time to get to order, and it took over 30 minutes just for one person in our group to get a cup of coffee. Waitress said she was brewing a fresh batch, but it came out lukewarm. Overall, our waitress was not very attentive, which kept prolonging everything. Between the wait for a table and the generally slow service, we were there for about 3 hours, despite only getting dinner. No apps, no dessert. The location is great and the drinks are decent, but the rest leaves so much to be desired.
