I had no wait here when I arrived. I got a small dish of lemonade sorbet, which was quite satisfying. No other sorbet flavors were available. Signs instructed patrons to eat their ice creams off the patio area. Only the store’s two young women were serving patrons; two young men merely watched soccer on a laptop at a table in the food prep area. Service was fast and polite. Since the sorbet was so good, I’ll likely drop in again on a return visit.
Seashore Trolley Museum staff and volunteers LOVE going on group outings after a long day to enjoy one of several delicious flavors! Parking can be tricky, so visiting outside of meal times or not right after school has let out for the day have been the winning strategies for our group visits.
As a local, this is my first time in B & J. It was a great experience. Covid protocols well in place with large plastic shield spanning the entire counter. Social distancing enforced by limiting number of customers in the store at a time. And the ice cream...the variety blew me away! Good quality ice cream and portion wasn't huge, but larger than I expected for premium ice cream. Very nice staff. Would return.
