Cape Pier Chowder House is a coastal gem that delivers fresh, flavorful seafood with unbeatable harbor views. The clam chowder is packed with Maine flavor, served in a cozy, no-frills setting that feels authentically local. Friendly service and peaceful picnic tables make it the perfect spot to savor a classic New England meal by the water.

Food was amazing and staff was so nice! She helped me find a parking spot so I wouldn't get towed.

Happy to see Kennebunkport… But glad we waited to enjoy lunch at the Chowder House. The seafood chowder was amazing. We enjoyed sitting outdoors at the picnic tables on the pier and enjoyed views of the harbor. The staff was personable and friendly! Check it out!!

Service is always very good. 2 years ago my wife and I found this place, we tried the lobster stew we made bought it was very good. We have returned several times and every time we have ordered chowder or stew it is served like warm. So unacceptable. Here is a culinary tip I will share with you right from Johnson and Wales culinary school. Serve Hot food Hot and Cold food Cold. Not Hot food warm and Cold food Cool. With that alone you will increase business. No compromise! Add some butter and seasoning and to your chowder and lobster stew. I mean Chowder is in your name Take some pride in that! .I will be back next year to give you one more try. Last week had your fried clams they were very small and overcooked. Very inconsistent with previous visits😕 Honestly just trying to help.

Stay away! Tried to eat lunch here today. Between construction mess and no parking we couldn't get near it. Wasted trip.

The food is very mid and not worth the price at all. Anything fried is more breading than meat. The fried lobster doesn’t even seem fried, it seems like steamed that was wrapped in already fried breading.

The seafood chowder was fantastic. All of the food we ordered was good but that was a table favorite. Seating was limited but we'll worth a short wait to get a table

Small walk up ordering with inside and outside dining right on the water where the commercial fishermen port, nothing fancy but the food is great, they also have local craft beer
