My best friend and I went to Earth for dinner last Saturday. I hadn’t been there for over a year. It was such a surprise, incredible, unexpected experience, way above our expectations.From a culinary perspective, the menu is super well balanced with dishes that are comforting and innovating. The kitchen executes it to perfection, using outstanding produce and cooking it all in a way that showcases each element on your plate, yet never managing to hide one from the other. One thing I loved was the fact that all protein was well seasoned and perfectly cooked, never needing any sauces to mask its own flavour. We had duck, fish, venison, roasts carrots, ravioli, the tuna sashimi, the scallops and the soup of the day.Portions are perfectly sized. In my opinion, outstanding value for money.The wine list is excellent. Diverse, affordable and complementary to the menu.Deserts were nice as well, especially the Opera Cake and the Pavlova (I could have had a pint of the home made raspberry sorbet that comes as a side to it!).Service was also a star milestone. We had Charlie as a waiter. It makes a huge difference when you have someone that is passionate about what he’s presenting to you, knows the dishes and can honestly tell you about what they are and make genuine recommendations, on top of being good at reading the table, being present without being fake about it, and overall just another highlight of the evening, without being intrusive or over the top (which I find can be the case in some similar restaurants that are training their staff to over sell or use key moments of the evening to interject and justify a tip, or make up for not so perfect aspects of the service).Earth’s environment keeps you relaxed in a very beautiful and elegant room that transports you to a little fairy land of an elegant lodge lost in a wintery forest in Maine. It’s very chic, yet not stuffy. It’s cozy. It has a great vibe for adults, no matter the occasion. But let the Earth’s environment set the mood, I think you should focus on the food, if you’re into it… you can have fun putting together your prix fix menu and have a jolly dinner with someone you like…The only aspect of the night that I think deserves attention from management is that we had a table next to us with a small child, 5 or 6, that was watching Nickelodeon on mum’s phone, without an earphone. My friend could hear Dora the Explora’s every move in her quest to find her backpack… but it was an early winter Saturday evening and the girl was a saint. I would however, empower staff to monitor and curb anyone using their phones on speakers, or FaceTime, while at their table.It was a GREAT dinner! Coming back soon!
Perfect in every way. Great ambiance. Impeccable service. Choice of 3, 4 or 5 course dinners, prix fixe. WE have 3 courses... more than enough. Outstanding presentation. Steak tartare in mini tartlets... steak... fish... delicious desserts. Romantic. Reservations a must -- and we were there in March. Outdoor area not yet open but I understand it's lovely. Highly recommend.

Such a unique beautiful restaurant in the middle of nature! Love everything about this place! Had the cauliflower soup which was a coconut milk base and it was to die for! Also had the venison meal, since I have only ever cooked my own venison and never ate it in a restaurant before. I honestly could not tell it was venison. So juicy and flavorful! And the chai-tini drink topped it all off! Highly recommend this place for either a special occasion, or if you are looking for a high-quality farm to table meal in a special atmosphere!

We've lived in the Portland area for the better part of 10 years. This was one of the finest meals we have ever experienced during that time. Top to bottom the food was darn near perfect. It is abundantly clear that the chef dedicates immense time on the details that might go unnoticed (ex. the olive oil served with focaccia was some of the most flavorful we have tasted). The experience is presented in a upscale, yet not pretentious manner, which made it easy to both enjoy and relax. Highly recommended.
The ideal location for any get together. I was absolutely delighted to find that the environment was relaxed yet celebratory. It was a beautiful experience to share with friends that is now a treasured memory!

My boyfriend recently took us out for a very special dinner at Earth at Hidden Pond. We were instantly wowed by the beautiful atmosphere and our delicious cocktails as we waited for our table. Our server was friendly, and unobtrusive. And I absolutely loved my sea scallops in a passionfruit buerre blanc. The sirloin on whipped potatoes with asparagus and carrots was superb. Our only disappointment was the Wagyu steak appetizer. At a $70 up charge we were expecting the most divine, buttery steak imaginable. Unfortunately the wagyu wasn’t as tender as it should be and the portion, albeit an appetizer, was even smaller than we could have imagined for that price. I could see us trying Earth again for a special occasion, but we would definitely skip the wagyu.

We called a hidden gem, just for the fact the drive in on the property seemed secluded. Once we walked in, we fell in love with the place. Had this rustic but charming feel to it. The staff was friendly and eager to make sure we enjoyed our experience there. Our server, Charlie, was fantastic! He was very helpful with suggestions of what to order and very friendly. Food was outstanding from the 1st course through dessert. For apps we had the scallops, braised rib pasta and carrots. Main course were Halibut and the Venison (cooked to perfection)! Make sure to get the doughnuts!!! We will go back and absolutely recommend Earth to anyone looking for a truly great dining experience.

Another outstanding dining experience, the Earth team never fails to amaze us! Our server, Patrick, was Johnny on the spot all evening. We've come to know almost all of the servers and management, and throughout the evening everyone of them made a point to stop by and say “Hi!”. From the moment when the valet takes our vehicle to when he returns it we receive exceptional service and satisfaction! If you haven't been to Earth, what are you waiting for!
