Food was good, wait staff doubled with taking orders and tending the bar but they did a good job in such small quarters and with a full house. My biggest issue was that a beer cost $14.00! Now I know prices to eat out are increasing but that is too much. Am I missing something here?

Um where is my review from a decade ago?!! Enjoyed this place many times & look forward to it each year during our Maine jaunt. Love this little tucked away spot. Everything is very good. Crab cakes, fish & chips, mussels, chowder, nothing disappoints. It's a tight squeeze inside w a football & politics theme lining the walls & ceiling. It feels like a neighborhood place. My favorite is the outdoor little alcove courtyard w bistro tables overlooking the water. Great bloody Mary's too.

The owners have been unable to find a buyer after more than a year so today was THEIR LAST FRIDAY as they are closing NEXT WEEK. Just a heads up for the locals and anyone wanting to dine there.

First time we went here the food was to die for. This trip, just average- change of chef? Plus we were stuck in a back room, stuffy and hot. Won;t return.

This is a perfect restaurant. Unfortunately, it's closing at the end of September 2022. Hopefully you got a chance to try it before then.

We ate dinner there both nights during our 2-night visit to Kennebunkport. The first night was very good - food and service were excellent. Since our hotel was not near any restaurants we tried "in town" the 2nd night and it was so crowded that we went back to the Ramp for the 2nd night. Again the food and service were very good but there was a table of 12 people that was very very very loud and they disrupted the entire dining room. In fact, it was so awful that we were offered a free glass of wine as an apology. But no one on the wait staff or the restaurant manager asked them to be quieter. I know this is a difficult situation but everyone in the whole restaurant suffered from the loud behavior and everyone's nice dinners out were ruined by this very noisy group. We saw a few couples leave before finishing their meal. That was a bad experience. There was a great water view from the restaurant parking lot but the area of the restaurant with the 2nd story water view was closed. That was disappointing. Takes bit of a drive to get there, but worth it - as long as a noisy group doesn't spoil it for you.

I had the lobster roll and it was pretty disappointing. It was more like tuna salad, where the lobster was all mashed up with a few lobster chunks here and there. Taste was Ok, but not what I am used to or what I would want in a maine lobster roll. Overall presentation was sort of sad for a $34 lobster roll, with potato chips an inedible pickle spear and some random pieces of tomatos.

You arrive and the place is full of seaside town charm, on the water, ambiance is great. The menu sounded great but fell very flat. First, I had a Margarita ( $18 For one!) crazy, it was an early dinner right at 5 when they open for meals. I ordered the salad with feta and watermelon and added Chicken. There were 3 thin chicken breasts that were so tough and over cooked I could barely cut them. Dressing was bland. My husband ordered a seafood pasta dish, fresh but also very bland, barely any seasoning. This place could be great, but their food is mediocre and expensive.

It has never been the same since changing hands a few years ago. It is far from, “we are local, you are local, come and be a local…. “. The “special” has left the building and a lying bartender, a frozen manager and greed has replaced it. Yes, bartender literally admitted she thought I was from out of town. Not sure why that would matter #Disgusting. Very sad to lose such a local hotspot and community hub where people would start friendships, eat awesome food and soak in the “special.” RIP Ramp. Buyer beware…

I am a local and have not been in years and could not believe how much it had changed, not in a good way. I should have suspected something when the place was empty on Friday night. Food was Pier 77 pricing, mediocre in taste and fighting off flies so I could eat., Menu online stated $22 for Fish and Chips which was $29 when we got there and heavy with beer batter. I will not be going back, since it is not The Ramp that I remember. Too many other good places that are good locally!

Giving 1 star because I can't give a 0. Website says they're open... yet was there at 4pm and kitchen is shut down until dinner at 5. Ordered drinks. Martini was mediocre for $21. The place was dirty, sticky floors and flies everywhere. A never again place for me.

Great little spot for a dive and a great sunset view. A little pricy but the food was worth it.Highly recommend the clam chowder and the spicy margaritas.

Super beautiful spot for a restaurant, just need some AC inside or you'll be super sweaty and hot during dinner, and way more staff... Food is decent, but could be a LOT better for how much you pay for it. One glass of rose was $14, prices are pretty high for drinks and food. The lobster ravioli and lobster Mac n cheese were my favorite. Caesar salad had way too much dressing, and blueberry pie wasn't very good.. Muscles are okay, but definitely could be better, especially for how much you pay for them. Staff seems to be overworked and very overwhelmed. One server we had was AMAZING!!! Super busy place nowadays. There is not a lot of parking, but the view outside and around the restaurant is gorgeous, especially at sunset!

The Ramp has changed since our last visit. It's still the best spot in the Kennebunk area to enjoy a drink and a meal. Prices are a little high, and service should not be as rushed. It's time to go back to winning combination of a few years ago.
