The restaurant is in a beautiful location and is nicely decorated. The vintage photos are amazing. Our bloody Marys were good. Our waitress was wonderful. I wanted so much to love my brunch but I have to say, it was the worst Belgian waffle I ever had. I asked for it to be lightly cooked. It came overcooked, hard and cold. The waitress, quickly got me another one, it was much lighter but also very cold. It was unlike any Belgian waffle I ever had and trust me, I've had my share. It was more like bread pressed in a waffle iron with fruit compote pored on it. The best part was the whipped cream. The side of bacon was fair. My husband had the brisket hash. It was mostly beets. We will give it another try because the atmosphere is so beautiful and our waitress very pleasant.

First time at the Bistro where we ate at the ski club level (3rd floor) for lunch. With the sun out, the views were amazing and there was a nice buzz in the cozy space. The oysters were plated with appreciated attention and were quite fresh and just briny enough. The flatbread with caramelized onions was tasty and generous, the Brussel sprouts were perfectly cooked al dente, and the seafood chowder among the best I've ever had. Hope to return when we're in the area and check out the seasonally open beach/shore venue too.

Went as part of resturant week. The food was a ok, the most disappointing aspect was the chocolate souffle. It was not a souffle. It was a dense cake, with a lava like center. Total misrepresentation. It is a nice location, worth a summer lunch. It is on the water. Not upscale food.
Parking: The majority of parking is across the street.

Lunch menu is limited with no lobster roll or lobsters on the menu. Disappointed as we are traveling and couldn’t get anything on my list to eat. View is amazing
My company Hager Photography had the absolute pleasure of photographing a wedding here at The View this summer and it was AMAZING. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a true New England wedding experience. The View is such a unique venue! It's a great space and with great scenery! You can't go wrong booking your wedding here.
There were 8 of us (4 couples). Everyone had something different for starters and entrees. We sat outside overlooking the bay area. Everything came out as ordered and all was excellently prepared. Would highly recommend the Bistro 1828 to all. BTW - we are 4 Texans and 2 Oklahomans visiting friends. A great way to sample Northeastern US cuisine.

Reservations are a must. Beautiful location with a great view on the deck. Food was very expensive but unfortunately the taste didn't match the price. Service was very good. Loved the pictures of the vintage water skiing club that was based there back in the day.

My group & I came across this place on the water. Reservations needed. Beautiful space, friendly staff, calm environment & the most delicious butternut squash pasta I've ever tasted. (pork belly tacos are pictured as well) So glad we were able to try the fall menu items. I had spicy ginger beer for the first time and it didn't disappoint. Thank you for this experience! ---Brandi M. (Texas)
Fyi Went for lunch, but did not have a reservation at Frisbees. Over an hour wait during week on a Wednesday. We left.

The hot lobster roll was amazing
My friend Kim and I went here for lunch yesterday. We had lunch upstairs in the Bistro and sat at the bar. Gina was our bartender and she was great!!!! Very sweet. We shared all We ordered. Started with the Greek salad ? and then had a half dozen oysters. For our entree we had the fish and chips ?. Everything was very fresh and flavorful. So glad we made the trip up here ?. The managers Lance and Jordan were great and very hospitable. After we dined indoors we went down to the Frisbees Warf for a drink ? ?. Susie was our bartender and she was also very friendly. We had a great time here all around. Yay!

What a beautiful setting! Ahhhh, to dine while looking across the mouth of the Piscataway to the ocean! Our meals were nicely prepared, tasty, innovative without being weird. The service was rather slow but capable,
