Chauncey Creek Lobster Pier Reviews
Great location and beautiful place to eat and drink. Food was decent.
This place got some very bad food reviews so even though a NE friend recommended it, I was apprehensive. Don't know what the complaints were about. Started with an order of mussels, perfectly fine. The lobster was good, give you an actual cracker to help u extract the meat. The service is partly self serve. The location is the big draw.
Causal quintessential New England, absolutely something you should experience up here. We got the chowder in a bread bowl and the lobster bisque with a crab sandwich. So tasty. We live in NE so we skipped the lobster roll but they looked beautiful and the tables around us enjoyed. Such a lovely view and dining experience. Would absolutely come back

Chauncey Creek Lobster Pier offers a great atmosphere and delicious food, especially fresh lobster. The location allows for a picnic-style experience, with views toward Portsmouth Harbor that add to the relaxing vibe. Customers can enjoy meals like steamed lobster with butter, lobster rolls, and clam chowder in a bread bowl. The setting on Chauncey Creek, an inlet, features a beautiful dock where guests can sit at picnic tables by the water. The restaurant is casual with classic rock music playing over speakers, creating a laid-back atmosphere. Visitors can order lobsters separately at a different counter, and the tanks of live lobster allow for selection. The restaurant’s BYOB policy means guests often bring their own drinks, making the experience more affordable. The staff is friendly, efficient, and welcoming, and the food is prepared perfectly, with some reviews mentioning the sides like coleslaw, corn on the cob, and onion rings as amazing. The location is not crowded, and some guests even bring table cloths and flowers for their tables. Parking can be limited, but boat access is available for those arriving by water. Overall, Chauncey Creek Lobster Pier remains a top choice for enjoying fresh, delicious seafood in a rustic, scenic setting.
