My absolute favorite place to eat in that neighborhood, and I have lots of places nearby that I love as well! The food is excellent. It's tiny, tho, so go early and be patient.
I stopped by on a quiet weekday afternoon between errands for a late lunch and was seated quickly. The shio ramen was so flavorful - I loved the spicy seasoning that was on top, it added the perfect amount of heat. As an after thought, I also tried the matcha cheesecake, but it was a lil crumbly and light in matcha flavor - I really had to search for the flavor. I hope this was a fluke but next time I'll forgo dessert and grab a cruller at Lil's next door.
I’ve had my fair share of spicy miso ramen, but nothing compares to the fiery goodness I devoured at Anju. This is even sober mind you (drunken ramen is always good). The broth was rich and flavorful, with a perfect balance of heat and umami. The noodles were cooked to perfection, and the toppings were fresh and abundant.
