This place is nothing special to look at and it is eating in the rough, however, the food is FANTASTIC!!!! Clam strips & clams, not greasy. Food is delicious! Clean tables, eat in or out. I've had the chicken in the past and it's very good. My husband likes the clams while I'm a clam strips girl 😋 sooo good. We sat outside because it was a beautiful day! What more could you ask for!?

Love the idea I’ve been there many times, but tonight’s experience ended up in many people to Bow down to the ceramic bowl in pain. I have eaten it many more fried seafood joints instead surpass Bob’s clam House that uses a 1950s vibe for the breading. Go to Luke’s lobster pound of in Portland and you’ll see the big difference in the way food preparation can be. I pray that things come out clearly for me and the pain and agony list a little bit. Not sure if they’ll be a next time.

I drove by this place so many times on my May trips to Maine and never stopped. One day was super hungry after KTP and had some clam chowder. It was honestly some of the best claim chowder I’ve ever had great consistency not super thick but not super thin. Lobster rolls are great too. 100% is a must stop.
Everything you could want in a crab shack. Delicious.

Normally this place is really good. However, my last visit here I spent $56 on two clam baskets and when I picked up the baskets from the pickup window it looked like they had given me the end of what gets left over in a fry basket. It was cold, burnt and basically not edible. The portion was very small for the price we paid. It's supposed to come with clam strips and fries. I probably got a handful of fries between both baskets.
The person we ordered from was less than pleasant. No smile. Just trying to rush us through the transaction. It seems they have had a staff change and it's really affecting their business. I would not recommend going here unless you want to waste your money.

My lobster roll was all claw ends. After taking them out, I had a half of a roll for 32.00. Not as good as it used to be unfortunately.

Went in the off season but the food was still awesome. We got the full belly clams and they live up to their fame. So tasty. Never had them before so we read we had to try them while there. I’m not even a fan of fried anything but tried them with the hubby and enjoyed them.

Absolutely Worth the Hype! Visited Bob’s Clam Hut in Kittery, Maine and it blew my expectations out of the water. I ordered the buttered lobster rolland the Bob & Betty special with scallops and shrimp — and let me tell you, this was hands-down the freshest seafoodI’ve ever had.
The scallops were a standout — crispy, perfectly fried, and not greasy at all. Zero oil pooling at the bottom, just clean, flavorful bites of the ocean. The shrimp was equally delicious and the portion size was super satisfying. The lobster rollwas buttery, sweet, and packed full — everything you want in a Maine classic.
Yes, the line was long, but totally worth the wait. Even with the crowds, they had enough seating for everyone, and the casual, coastal vibe made the experience even better. You can tell this is the go-to spot for fresh, no-frills New England seafood.
If you’re anywhere near Kittery, this place is a must-visit.
