First time...beautiful setting on the water, very relaxing. It ends there. Steamers were sandy, Lobster roll, I didn't have it, but it wasn't impressive for 27.00. Coconut shrimp, absolutely frozen, and hard. Very small unimpressive menu.Its a beautiful spot, need to step it up .
Chauncey Creek is always excellent. Now that I live outside the US, I make sure to schedule my visits during the open season. The food (steamers and lobsters) was perfectly prepared and delicious. Even the sides (coleslaw, corn on the cob and onion rings) were amazing. The setting on Chauncey Creek, with a view toward Portsmouth Harbor really adds to to the ambience. My first lobster in the States - and it would remain the best so far. Absolutely fresh and the ambience is unsurpassable. Unfortunately, I just caught the last day of the season, which meant I didn't have the pleasure again during my stay. Otherwise I would have liked to come again.
