Those sandwiches are amazing, the bread is fantastic, the service is great and you have a choice to sit outside at picnic tables. I'll be back,definitely!

I’m from Massachusetts so I’m accustomed to having my beefs a certain way. That being said the sandwich I got was not my fave. The beef was not carved or even sliced but cut up into small cubes which in theory makes it easy for the restaurant to weight out your serving size but in practice makes for a really bad eating experience. I found myself not able to really enjoy the taste of the beef because the cubes were small enough that they didn’t need a lot of chewing in order to be swallowed. I’m getting any type of meat sandwich I want to be able to bite into it, not bite around it.

Awesome sandwiches, we hit this place every year when we go on vacation. Laid back eatery with quick service and a quality product. All meats are done in house, you can taste the love.

We were so looking forward to two delicious roast beef sandwiches for a picnic at York Beach. When we unwrapped them, we could not believe it! It was literally fatty cubes, not sliced, roast beef on a small white hoagie roll with 1 piece of lettuce. These were 12.00 or a tad more, a piece! This is unacceptable for any sandwich shop to serve let alone one that was highly recommended by a server at YHI. Will never go back and can only hope other menu items are a lot better than this rip off! ☹️
I don’t understand the Good reviews on here!! The meat was so tough!! I had to spit the pieces out! Could not chew!! Gross!! I have never had roast beef like this!! Not going back!!

Stopped in on a trip through Kittery We will come back and plan to let family who travel this way its a good stop. Clean and friendly.

Cool place. Many roast beef options but they fail to mention that they do not slice the roast beef. Yes, I know it says hand carved sandwiches, but I’ve never had a cold roast beef sandwich before that wasn’t only not sliced, but diced into little 1/2 cubes like beef tartare. It tasted fine and fresh, just very different and not as good as thinly sliced roast beef. Just an fyi. I probably should have tried a pork or ham sandwich had I known they don’t even attempt to hand slice.$15 and change after tax and a cola. Sandwich was on a pre frozen 8” sub roll.

We got the town of London. It was amazing! We also loved the potato salad. Staff was friendly and we barely had time to pick a table before our order was ready! High recommend and will add it to our regular stops when we visit again!
