I like the espresso drinks, hence I bring my $ to Starbucks. I like to walk in, because this feels more like a community activity, rather than a drive-through or ordering through an app. The young woman who took my order gave me a vingegar-stare after I pleasantly and sincerely said, 'Good morning! How are you?' No joke. After her disdainful look, all she said was, 'What can I get started for you?'. I placed my order and then waited, and waited. I waited 25 minutes. No exaggeration. I watched ten to twelve cars pass through the drive-through in that time, placing their order, receiving it promptly, and driving away. I watched as online-order people came and went. Any walk-ins were long gone. I finally caught the attention of the staff and showed them my receipt. He tried to find my order on the computer screen, looked puzzled, and then said, 'There is a long line of orders ahead of you.' He then made my drink, and without even looking at me, slid it across the counter and hustled away. I understand that this location can be hectic on weekends; perhaps the staff were overwhelmed/exhausted. Perhaps some automatons were working that day. But there was no sense of pleasantness, not even an apology for my apparently overlooked order. There was definitely no sense of community. Why did I pre-tip a dollar? No more pre-tipping, it is a silly notion. Do I want to go back? Not really. Do I need to go back? Nope.
Parking is a little tricky but nice place. Friendly staff

Was overall impressed with the staff. Literally everyone greated me with a smile except for the long haired gentlemen wearing the beanie. Special props the the readheaded girl and the tall girl who got me my food!

30 min for a coffee ended up leaving without it
I love having a Starbucks right in Kittery—it’s super convenient and usually a great spot for a quick coffee run. Most of the year, the service is solid and the drinks are exactly what you’d expect as a regular customer.
That said, I’ve noticed a real shift in the summer. The staff becomes noticeably less attentive, and the friendly vibe takes a dip. What’s been most frustrating, though, is a recurring issue with cold brew. More than once, I’ve ordered it and been handed a dark roast instead—without anyone mentioning they were out of cold brew. If you’re a longtime Starbucks customer, you know there’s a big difference in taste, and it’s disappointing not to be told upfront.
This location has so much potential, and I’d love to see a little more transparency and consistency, especially during the busy summer months. Still stopping by, but hoping for some improvement.

I used to be a regular here, and a few years ago this Starbucks was great. That being said, it’s been on the decline. I left a one star review because of this gradual decline and the continuous dissatisfaction and disappointment I have when I come here. The specific experience in which sparked this review occurred about a week or two ago. I ordered ahead getting an iced cherry chai with a shot of espresso. My boyfriend came along, with the plan to order inside rather than with a mobile order. When we came in, one costumer was in line and we joined in behind. We waited for nearly 10 minutes before we decided to order his drink on the app because orders indoors were not being taken, nor were we even acknowledged by the employees. I understand being low/under staffed, but what was most frustrating was that we weren’t acknowledged, spoken to, or even looked at.
Mobile order was prioritized, so we both got our drinks within around 10 minutes. Again, I was disappointed. Both my boyfriend and I ordered drinks with cold foam, and neither of ours had cold foam on it. I paid for an extra shot of espresso and also did not get that. I genuinely feel that this might’ve been done on purpose to make the drinks more quickly. I understand wanting to cut corners when busy, but cold foam and espresso cost an extra $1-2. I wanted to talk to the employees to correct this mistake, but none of the employees were speaking to indoor people. In the 20-25 minutes my boyfriend and I were there, not one employee talked towards anyone costumers inside. I couldn’t get back in line to correct this mistake either, as the man who was originally in front of us still didn’t have his order taken (nearly 10-15 minutes after we had already waited 10 in line!)
Overall, this experience did not embody what costumer service should be. I understand being under staffed, but none of the employees working acknowledged anyone waiting. The least they could do is acknowledge us as we wait, even if they couldn’t get to us right away. Similarly, it sucked being ignored and waiting an additional 25-30 minutes for low-quality drinks. Considering the cost of the chai (~$8) it was not worth the price. If I were to come here again, I hope the experience will be better.

It’s good coffer.!
The Cafe latte is awesome. The staff is very pleasant and professional.
This store is run like a machine. They have some people who aren't really people persons ans they tend to work on the drinks or food... I've had the experience trying to get their attention for something, but they so in the zone... but they have awesome people who work with the public! Several very awesome people work the drive thru. My drinks are normally made the way I like, not everything is the same everyday... but that's everywhere, so people need to get over that. Also, they are people! Everyone makes mistakes, but if you go back in nicely and just kinda mention what happened... They will fix the issue with no hesitation ...
Starbucks, you need to keep an eye on this person... Because they are a showcase and are fantastic at their job. Please recognize and utilize Jake. He is amazing, always welcoming, makes your morning, is always such a joy. I definitely see him being a great face for starbucks and being so passionate and joyful he will be a great asset moving forward into the job.
I'm basically there everyday because of the winter game to get stickers, which is extremely hard.... but gotten to meet some fun workers. Thanks for always being so welcoming, Kittery Starbucks.

This review is for the App and how it allows you to order via mobile - only to find out when you arrive that only the drive through is open. Today there were 20 cars in line and we were not able to use the restroom.
Why in the world would anyone on a road trip choose to sit in a drive through for 30 minutes and order coffee without being able to make a pit stop?
The store is free to close any time, but the app should let us know when pickup inside the store is unavailable.
Do better, Starbucks.
Waited in line like everyone else, got to the register to place an order and then was told to go to the back of the line and that everyone else was to be serviced before me even after the already long wait.

Bathrooms were super clean, drinks were made perfectly. The best part- our car died in the parking lot and two baristas came out to jump our car. They were wonderful.
